We miss this guys graft and determination. As a wide midfielder tucking inside he was the unsung hero who gave us good balance .

Graft. Determination. Passion. Pride. Energy. Attitude. Maximising his ability. And not without a little skill.

We’ll certainly wish we still had him next season.

He was an absolute class act in the Championship.

Drop ball in a Old Firm Derby. God were they entertaining the crowd with a potential broken leg there ha.

In fairness I think that's the first contested drop ball I've seen for about 10 years

Incredibly underated player. Certainly good enough for our squad in the PL. First 11 in the Championship.

Much is made about incoming player(s) being the problem. In this case it’s the outgoing.

To be honest Jedi I think he'd be starting Sunday if he was still here.

We should have moved on, player wise, when SA left; the fact that we haven't says much as to why he would have got games here this season. He would, however, have made little difference to things this season, imo.

Agreed - we should have brought in a replacement wide/central player who was an upgrade but we didn't. And now we've 1 half fit wide player.

It is ridiculous that we haven't moved on from Scotty, the playing side of the club has stopped still for the last few years. Poor recruitment is to blame and not adding any match winners, players who can change a game

We miss him badly for his versatility and endeavour. You always knew you'd get maximum effort from Scott and he'd be straight in our team at the moment, whether that's on the wing or in the number 10 spot. Good luck to the lad, it seems to be going well for him.

I mentioned to friends the other week when a video came back up on fb from the team coach after we won the Championship title.

There was a table of “characters” sitting together and singing and having a beer on the bus that seemed like it was the ones that got everyone going.

From those players sat/stood in that group we only have Ben Mee left. Barton, Arfield and Juke were the others sat around and they all long gone now. Throw a character like Marney in there who has also now gone - there must be a hole they left in the dressing room or on the pitch when players need someone to rile them up.

Slight exaggeration there I think. Maybe you meant the last few months.

Cant agree torally with that. We would have conceeded far fewer goals and he is better than Taylor as a wing back. Tough lad too.

A contested one? I've seen plenty of dropped balls buy just the pleasant kick back to the opposition goalkeeper type.

Which game?

Ironic really - left at the end of last season because he couldn't get enough game time - would have been a regular starter this season. He would definitely have considerably softened the blow of missing Brady and especially Ward - in terms of the level of protection he would have given Taylor.
