Re: June Whitfield RIP
I remember listening to her on the wireless back in the 1950s. She was Eth Glum in Take it from Here and her catch phrase was "Oh Ron". Then all her wonderful TV roles. One of our finest comedy actresses.

Way before that ( 1961 ), she played the Nurse in " The Blood Donor " sketch, with Tony Hancock, which also featured Frank Thornton, who later found fame as " Captain Peacock " in " Are you being served? " ... British Comedy royalty ... RIP !!Funkydrummer wrote:From Terry and June to Ab Fab. Excellent comedy actor. RIP

Re: June Whitfield RIP
I went to Bournemouth with dad when I was 16 camping (many years ago!), we went to watch T&J on the pier then went into town for a meal, where they turned up. More than happy to chat to dad and me, remember it well and when we recently played at Bournemouth I went with my son and it brought back some fab memories as we walked through the gardens in the centre of the town.
