Think I saw him get one throw in decision wrong, he gave it to us when it wasn’t.
Really impressed with him.

Coote is consistently one of the best refs around currently. Today, bar the odd blip he had a great game

Re: RATE THE REF - David Coote v West Ham
Great for us but nuetralised the 2nd half threat of Carrol by booking him for a nothing aerial challenge straight away and ignored Tarks push in the back midway through 2nd half which judging by the standards of our own fans over recent weeks should have been a West Ham pen

All credit to him, tried to keep the game moving, looked to play advantage when he could.

I was thinking during the game, perhaps this is the ref that finally gives us a pen.....but the wait goes on.
Justice though if it comes at Huddersfield.

Didn't fall for the silly fall over type free kicks near the touchline wingers try and buy.
Was a good a preformance I've seen from a ref for a while

Best ref we have had all season. Not perfect, but didn’t really fall for any of their antics. A poor ref would have protected Anderson from good defending. I’ll have to rewatch the Andy Carroll yellow, I initially thought he led with the elbow purposefully and deserved to go

Re: RATE THE REF - David Coote v West Ham
I can only reiterate what others have said, he was easily the best ref we've had all season. Kept the game flowing and didn't want to be the centre of attraction.

Apart from booking Ash for a nothing challenge and not sending off Snodgrass for a dangerous lunge he was the best ref weve seen this season

Re: RATE THE REF - David Coote v West Ham
He refereed with a lot of common sense which is why he booked Ashley for his challenge and did not send off Snodgrass for a clumsy challenge which had no malice in it. He obviously has not read the PL directive to referees!Woodleyclaret wrote:A25 B25 C25 D25

Re: RATE THE REF - David Coote v West Ham
He did very well, but the liner on the JH side was a bloody liability as he seemed to get two or three offsides against us wrong first half and let one go for them which was well off second half. I was just so relieved he didn't flag when Wood scored!

Re: RATE THE REF - David Coote v West Ham
Got most decisions right. The linesman in front of the JH was a bit of a plonker though.
A. 23 Always tried to play the advantage. Got it wrong on a couple of occasions but did try.
B. 23
C. 24
D. 20
One big gripe was the fact that he always seemed to blow up at corners in favour of the defending team. It's an easy way out IMHO.

Missed two advantages, one for each side. Either could have led to a goal-scoring opportunity.
