Looking forward to Match of the Day...
Looking forward to Match of the Day...
...for the first time in months.
It's been close on to agony watching previous MoD's
but I'm really looking forward to it tonight especially the
reaction of the pundits most of whom probably had us down and out.
Merson I think predicted a 3-1 win for the Hammers.
Hopefully we won't be on last.
Let's now make sure we carry on that in our next games.

Re: Looking forward to Match of the Day...
Agreed. I was staying with relatives over Christmas and on Boxing Day evening at 22.00+ I had the "Shall I put Match of the Day on for you?".
No thank you! just another port please.
I'm up for it tonight though for some reason.
Re the pundits: I see Lawro had us for 2-0 on the BBC Premier League prediction competition that they run (shame this isnt open to all-comers like it was last year).

Great, I can come out from behind the sofa tonight.
Just out of interest, Lawro had us beating Everton 2-0 also.

I read that it's the first win in 10 games when we've played on a Sunday.
It's been a good day of sport.

He seemed ok to me, to be fair.dales_claret wrote:Usual inane comments from Wrighty....thick as ****
What got me was the Pellegrini comment. A blatant sh1t excuse for losing to the better side.
Re: Looking forward to Match of the Day...
Just finished watching MoD and wow!
It was better than I expected and we really could and should have scored more.
West Ham did look a tad jaded but we didn't allow then to play and Barsdley
saw off their danger man throughout.
Barnes' header down for Wood to score was sublime
and Heaton's save world class.
We had 17 attempts on goal with 5 on target.
Continue like that and we will win a good few more games.

Re: Looking forward to Match of the Day...
wright was probably prodded by an editor to wake up and say something, just anything about us, his eyes were wandering and he looked bored even saying his usual gibberish.

He does often look a bit lost.
Re: Looking forward to Match of the Day...
Ian Wright lives on his past endeavours and should retire gracefully rather than clutter up the studio with his presence.
He adds little or nothing to punditry and week in week out looks fed up, bored and there only for the fee.

There is only one reason why he is employed as a pundit...Ian Wright lives on his past endeavours and should retire gracefully rather than clutter up the studio with his presence.
