Woods movement has been excellent again. As has his touch and link up play. when him and Barnes get a run together theyre a great partnership.

McNeil is a prospect though. As with last game. Not scared of putting the ball in the box, even if the last one wasnt so good.

Mc neil drags the play further up the pitch which allows our attackers to arrive to pick up the pieces. We just dont have another player who does it as well.

Superb again tonight, never panics on the ball, turns quickly, looks for a pass - a winger that looks to drive forward !!

Compared to Brady McNeil's decision making on the ball looks far better. McNeil looks very quick too.

Brady had a break to the edge of the box with two or three players in a better position. Instead of picking one out he skied it into the stand.

Best player by a country mile tonite. The outball to him was the best defence. Always positive, always driving, always looking for the push forward.
Can only imagine that after 60 or so minutes he’s injured to have made the substitution.
We got the three points, and that is ultimately what we were after, and I’m delighted, but the substitution changed the game. I

Excellent management by Dyche in fairness.

He was tiring at the same stage against West Ham. And now the extra rest will be invaluable now Brady is out again.

I was thinking he looked like Glen in his style of play, not fast but tricky enough to get a cross in.

McNeil reminds of a young Trevor Steven. He has that very rare ability to glide past opposition players and beat them with ease. We have one hell of a prospect on our hands

Don’t think he was injured. I think the way Dyche and his team monitor stats and fitness levels he is bringing him off to reduce the chances of him being injured.
He had another great game tonight - instrumental in nearly everything we did and aswell as getting the assist it was his run that got their player his second yellow. It’s great to see a winger running at the opposition - it’s what wingers were born to do !!

I hear ya, but such a shame he doesn’t do that with Heaton, Pope, defour, Brady, etc.

Why don’t Barca do that with Lionel?

Or real/juve with CR?.

Or Burnley with any other player that is doing well?

Poor sub IMHO.

Top class player in the making is McNeil, only player we’ve got who can take a man on both outside and inside besides a fully fit JBG at times.

There’s no reason he should be dropped - understand concepts of “needing to learn” and whatever but he’s one of our better players right now, with or without experience

I love the way he just seems to glide across the pitch. I can see the Glen Little comparison also. It's just refreshing to see one of our players beating the opposition.

Just about to say something similar, Alp. His lack of fear has been a revelation these past couple of games, he gets the rub of the green here and there and that's due to the confidence he has in his actions, it all seems to fall right for him. Lovely to see him do his stuff on the wing.

His switch between left and right foot is impressive, and puts him in the ‘tricky’ winger category.

Finally someone who can take on his man and get people on their feet.

Thought after 10 mins or so that McNeill was going to struggle last night as the ball didn't seem to be sticking....then he went on a run, beat a couple and his confidence seem to shoot right back up. Fair play to the lad....I have noticed on Twitter a few fans of other teams noticing his contribution and questioning who he is. Well done Dwight!

Didn't see Steven play, but I've heard this comparison a few times. I don't quite get the Little comparison - Little was one of my favourite players growing up, but I don't think you'd say he glided around the pitch or was an especially graceful player, and I'd also say he was more of an orthodox winger than McNeil, who looks to me more like an inside forward who is as comfortable coming inside as going on the outside. McNeil can definitely beat a man, but he looks to have a real appreciation of space, not to mention a good pass on him too. It's early days, and we need to accept he'll have good days and bad, but he looks like a real prospect. To back up his performance against West Ham so quickly is really impressive.

It does make you wonder at just how hard it is for English youngsters to make it at the bigger clubs because they aren't given a chance. Trippier, Mee, Keane and Mcneil are all good examples of players from bigger clubs who have come here and flourished. McNeil does look a really good prospect and I hope he remains injury free and shows his true potential.

Really more like Trevor than super glen. Can anyone tell me when we he came to the club and his history before that. A likeness to Trevor Steven means we have an incredible prospect on our hands and hence how long is he under contract to us

What a shame that when we have a young, talented, developing player the cash register starts to kick in.

The lad is still learning his trade and under Sean and his team, his further development is assured.

In the meantime, let's watch and enjoy his performances and put aside talk of his 'value.'

Think he signed a two year pro deal with another year's option in our favour.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is getting tied down long term very soon, that's not me knowing anything but it's just common sense.

Such an exciting prospect. He seems to glide and create space and not be afraid to run towards goal - something we have missed from both Brady and Lennon at times.

Sounds awful I know but I was kind of glad Brady got a red as it just gives him more opportunity to establish himself in the team and get more experience. I know he is young but the more he can prove, hopefully the more we will see of him.

Reminds me a bit of when Jay came through and scored his first 1st team goal against Fulham and how he went on to progress.

I really like watching McNeil! I think his determination to drag us forward has been the main reason we have won the last two games. It allows cork and Westwood more space and time to pick passes and puts less of the onus on mee and tarkowski to be the playmakers like it has been this season! McNeil has the qualities of a fantastic player and think he will be a real asset, my only criticism (although small) is that he is very one footed, and seems to only turn to his left side which could allow him to be found out by teams
