I will never complain again...
...about our PA system or matchday announcer.
The one at Huddersfield was shocking last night.
Had no idea what was being said at any point and only realised he was talking about the chairmans walk when I picked up the words "BFC in the Community"

I was stood at the back of the stand and myself and others were baffled by their 3rd substitution as we were convinced the PA had announced a double substitution when they made their second, which would have made that one their 4th!wilks_bfc wrote:...about our PA system or matchday announcer.

Ray Lott was the best ever PA especially when Rovers lost.

Re: I will never complain again...
All he did was play music before the game really. He did once announce that Blackburn were losing a vital game and was all but sacked by Bob Lord for doing so.FCBurnley wrote:Ray Lott was the best ever PA especially when Rovers lost.

As I remember it, his tone of voice when announcing Rovers scores `said it all`ClaretTony wrote:All he did was play music before the game really. He did once announce that Blackburn were losing a vital game and was all but sacked by Bob Lord for doing so.

I think Dave Swanton got the same treatment as announcer at PNE commenting on rivals Blackpool.ClaretTony wrote:All he did was play music before the game really. He did once announce that Blackburn were losing a vital game and was all but sacked by Bob Lord for doing so.

I'd want to hear the DJ announce that the buffet is open and get there before somebody else scoffs all the sausage rolls

Was he the same guy that listed our full matchday squad at a ridiculous speed?COBBLE wrote:I think Dave Swanton got the same treatment as announcer at PNE commenting on rivals Blackpool.

He was sacked immediately after that game. PNE got complaints from Burnley fans but also shed loads from their own fans because it was Grezza's first game back there and he didn't give them the chance to applaud after reading out his name.wilks_bfc wrote:Was he the same guy that listed our full matchday squad at a ridiculous speed?

Re: I will never complain again...
Agree completely couldn’t make anything out. Also worth adding that friggin drum beat was annoying too.
Re: I will never complain again...
I'm sure we had one PA man who, when Blackburn were losing, used to read their half-time score out last of their division, so the fans could give it the cheer it deserved.
