I think you’d like Bodyguard (not the Whitney Houston film!).

It’s by the same writer and is similarly as intense. Great series.

Manhunt is on tonight. 9pm ITV. Sounds pretty good.

The first episode of Manhunt was last night and is based on a factual investigation, unlike Line Of Duty and Luther that are so far removed from reality as to be unbelievable.

The cockney gangster in Luther has to be a spoof character surely?

Bodyguard started off OK and then descended into farce in the final episode.

Yeah I liked that, too. Not heard anything about another series though.

LOD been very good and managed to keep the quality consistent too which is a rarity . Bodyguard was also good . Luther appears to have been written by a 14yr old fantasist with zero grip on reality or continuity .

As for “ Manhunt” with Martin Clunes I at first couldn’t hide my utter delight at the thought of Clunes being hunted, by hounds ? Wild dogs? Baboons? or ( sweet lord) Lions? Alas I discovered he was merely staring in some new drama

Line of Duty is great. Far better written than Luther which to be fair is at least entertaining but full of holes. I’m not going to bother with Manhunt because if it’s on ITV the chances are I’ll waste an hour of my life.

Just started watching Save Me on now tv but think it’s available from other places. Pretty sure it said it was written by the same people as Line of Duty.
Liking it so far think there’s 6 episodes it’s got Morgan from the walking dead as main actor and him from this is England in it.

Too true about Luther absolute garbage.

Try "Gone" - Nelly was a great character, some unpleasant twists and tight story telling

I watched the final episode of Manhunt last night. When I watched the first episode, I wasn't aware it was regarding Milly Dowling and Levi Bellfield, but remember the incident and watching several documentaries about it over the years since.

I also read earlier that 3 women have come forward since episode 1 was aired, saying they were also attacked by him.

Very well acted out and as it says Series 1, I wonder if they'll do other cases, with the same cast.

A side to Martin Clunes I'd not seen before, he played it very well along with others, particularly the Bellfield character.

This may get the juices flowing for series 5:

Can't be far off if the BBC itself is tweeting clips.

June, February, March & March respectively are the months in which seasons 1-4 started to air.

LoD probably best BBC drama in recent years. Next best I'd say, and similar style, be Happy Valley - think there's only 2 series but there making another one.

As above the three-part 'Manhunt' earlier this week was excellent I thought; Martin Clunes did a very good job.

The murders of Milly Dowler and a couple of other girls murdered on/near Twickenham Green about 16 years ago were central to this programme.

- the convicted killer Levi Bellfield was a very very evil person, now off the streets for good let's hope.

'PRESS' which was on TV about 6 weeks ago [BBC 1] was also top viewing - about two rival [and different] newspapers and quite a lot more...6 episodes.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0bjpsby" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

- the lead female role is played by the real life wife of Tom Hardy [Peaky Blinders and much else] Charlotte Riley I believe. Well worth a view.

TONIGHT ! - not embarrassed about mentioning this one bit.. I'm not that bothered about Reality TV generally, but tonight 'Hunted' returns on Channel 4 and yes I am a fan [9.00 pm] :)

Looking forward to Line of Duty starting again. I would strongly recommend Trapped the Icelandic police drama on the BBC iPlayer. It's series 2 and it helps to have seen Series 1 but is not essential. Great plot, good characters and fantastic Icelandic setting.
