Thursday's are signing day

Post by Quickenthetempo » Thu Jan 10, 2019 12:23 pm

Could we enhance the thought with a signing completely out of the blue or will today further the concept as a myth?

Fingers crossed.

Anyone who thinks we will do anything other than be linked with a very small pool of players, make a couple of derisory offers for a player that either moves elsewhere or signs an improved contract is deluded. I expect this transfer window to be like most of the other recent ones, in that we fail to sign a player that strengthens the starting 11 and addresses our shortcomings in well documented areas. Time as ever will reveal all.

I get the reasons for the relentless negativity from some, but surely people can see that the actual realities don't stack up.

Ie the results.

We can't have had as bad a transfer windows as is being constantly mentioned on here or we wouldn't be in the middle of our 3rd season in the top flight. And lets not forget we finished 7th last season and qualified for Europe.

Could they have been better? Of course!

Are they as bad as are portrayed on here? No chance.

Deluded is a bit of a strong word Herts.

With a new technical director, threat of relegation and recent fan unrest that could mean the end for Dyche if it returned then I would expect at least one first teamer coming in. If we don't then Garlick will come under serious fan pressure for the first time in his reign. Expectation builds pretty quickly in football clubs.

I can't reveal my source as he works at the club and could lose his job. He called me earlier today to confirm that today is Thursday. Not Wednesday as many thought but infact it is Thursday.
