Whatever happened to Burnley FC supporters team?
Not heard anything about them for a few years now
If we were playing against say Leicester then our supporters team would play a game against Leicester supporters

I played twice for them back in the early 90s (actually against Jimmy Mullen who played centre-half). I was also in the Supporters` Club quiz team around the same time (with the one and only Phil Bird!!!!). Nice memories of a lovely buffet at Goodison Park (we won the semi-final quiz too!) but we lost to, I think, Arsenal in the final (took place in the midlands somewhere). Good times!!!!!

I am talking about the supporters team who Inchy who posts on here and his brother used to play for

It fizzled out when we were first relegated from the premier. The best season was our promotion season under Coyle. We played loads of games that year and probably were one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the league.
Was a good laugh and was never taken to seriously.

I'm surprised no one has set up an over 50's Burnley FC Walking Football team as it's so popular now around the Country.
They could play other Premier teams when they come to the Turf and away as well.

Most of our midfield would get a game in that team

You obviously don't know the club's charity arm Burnley FC in the Community has been running walking football sessions for more than 2 years now. A representative team from the sessions plays in the Curzon Fairplay League at the Tameside Stadium once a month.South West Claret. wrote:I'm surprised no one has set up an over 50's Burnley FC Walking Football team as it's so popular now around the Country.
