Tom Cairney
Got down early today and he was training alone in our half. And spent a bit of time chatting with Woan and one of our other coaches.
Is he out of favour down at the cottage?

It did look very odd indeed, handshakes as they parted too.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Got down early today and he was training alone in our half. And spent a bit of time chatting with Woan and one of our other coaches.

Usually leave all that until after the game.
If Cairney isn't out of favour, he might be now. Might have done it purposely

Ditto. We need to bolster our midfield. Especially with physicality and energy. Very strong in the tackle.Steve1956 wrote:Fantastic player,I hope Woan was tapping him up.

Used to watch him a lot at Hull when I worked up there.

Not surprised.Vegas Claret wrote:Fulham fans want rid, lazy apparently
Massive game for them and he's all laughs and jokes with the other camp.
Certainly won't have done his status any good.
Let's wait and see what happens during and after. He might come in for some stick.

Booed every time he touched the ball. We know why but it won’t make him keen to come.
Re: Tom Cairney
Training alone and chatting with our staff? Out of favour?
Should try and take advantage of this, push for a move. Even if we’re not able to pull it off (unlikely Fulham would sell to a rival), an unsettled player is not good news for any dressing room.

Thought he changed the game when he came on too. Very strange to see.
Why a player of his calibre is not playing is beyond me. Especially in a team as bad as fulham.

Re: Tom Cairney
He's a good player, but I didn't see anything from him today which suggested to me he's the man to elevate our central midfield 2 in a midfield 4, and if it's a rangy, left footed playmaker we'd be buying, then I think we found one of them a fortnight ago.
Re: Tom Cairney
Made a positive difference to them, when he came on.
Re: Tom Cairney
Got them going a bit more when he came on. Don't know why he isn't starting to be honest, especially since they're going with Chambers in midfield.
Ranieri's tactics with Fulham appear to be all wrong, on today's viewing. Setting a team up to defend the edge of the penalty box and long ball it up to Mitrovic when their strengths have always been having the ball and their weakness defending seems illogical to me.

That leaves a keeper and the other lad.
Unfortunately couldnt zoom any closer. Especially when he was in our half with Woan.

Run it from the start to the end of each transfer window and see what side we end up with.

Re: Tom Cairney
I think we’d be in for Cairney as he’s a good player but I just don’t see how he’s going to fit in with Toure and McClean.
I think there is only room for two of them which is why I think Cairney is pure fantasy.
