Would be tempting for him but i doubt theyd fancy Dyche. Ideas above their station.joey13 wrote:Dyche is 4/1

Dyche to Leicester, Wagner to Burnley and Pochettino to Huddersfield. You heard it here first.

I’d believe this if it was from one of cricketfieldclarets sources.Rileybobs wrote:Dyche to Leicester, Wagner to Burnley and Pochettino to Huddersfield. You heard it here first.

Re: Wagner potentially going to Leicester
I really hope so - a mate of mine said he had some inside info on the move happening in the summer just gone that he was going to Leicester.
I stuck a decent bet on it and then the day after he signed an extension at Hudds....
The bet is still open as Leicester have still not appointed a permanent manager since it was placed and I had decent odds on it back then
Could be one of the best/worst bets ever.

I remember you tipping me. And me mocking it when he signed the new deal. But you may well be right.bfccrazy wrote:I really hope so - a mate of mine said he had some inside info on the move happening in the summer just gone that he was going to Leicester.

Can anybody explain what Saints & now Leicester have against Puel. He seems a bloody good manager to me.

Re: Wagner potentially going to Leicester
Think it's more his style of football. Not taking the Cups seriously this season for Leicester was ridiculous as well. But he finished 8th with Southampton and was unlucky not to win the League Cup so always felt he was unlucky to get sacked by them.piston broke wrote:Can anybody explain what Saints & now Leicester have against Puel. Re: Wagner potentially going to Leicester
I don't argue they could have fielded a stronger side in the League Cup against City, but it shows the fickle finger of fate they have exited the League Cup 2 seasons running on penalties to Man City at the QF stage,if they had won the shoot-out last month a semi-final against a League 1 side would have given them a great opportunity to reach a Wembley final.jrgbfc wrote:Think it's more his style of football. Why they fielded a 2nd string at League 2 Newport only he knows, comfortable in the league you'd imagine the FA Cup would have been a real target for silverware.
He did a good job at Southampton they arguably were robbed against Man Utd in that 2017 final, they certainly have plummeted since potting him.

I can't quite put my finger on why I don't like Puel. I think it's his voice - I don't expect him to sound like he does.

Re: Wagner potentially going to Leicester
That's the issue, nobody actually likes Puel.
The likes of Ranieri will get away with a lot more.
'I've no symphony at all with Wagner if he takes the job.'
Made me smile, though I believe he only completed one.
