Bielsa Presser at 5pm
If he walks i might just laugh out a spleen.
The cultish following from the Leeds lot has been frankly nauseating, maverick genius or not.

Re: Bielsa Presser at 5pm
Probably an incoming addition to the squad; GK likeliest.
He's got Leeds a big following in Argentina (and some other bits of S America) - in addition to him getting them up the top of the league heading towards "where they belong".

Surely not... He has history though didn't he walk out on Lazio suddenly?

Re: Bielsa Presser at 5pm
I'm not a Leeds fan, who is, but I hope he sticks 2 fingers up at the EFL and Derby. A pack of hypocritical *****.
Where he comes from it's normal practice, they didn't even try to deny it, why would they.
It's been going on in football for decades, only we being upright, honest English men, do it in disguise of walking the dog. I've never known anything get so blown out of proportion in ages, and it really pisses me off. All the problems in the modern day game, and they want to make an issue of this.

Press conference under way.
He has admitted to spying on training sessions of every Club they have played so far this season.
This might end up messy.

He's getting their dirt out in public all in one go, instead of the drip-drip effect. Sometimes it not the actual scandal that screws you over - it's the cover up.

Personally think its fantastic. The attention to detail he has gone to is why Leeds after 20 years in decline are on the way up. Not through big money like fulham and wolves. But more like us a very good manager who leaves no stone unturned.

Re: Bielsa Presser at 5pm
It is the biggest storm in a teacup I’ve heard in a long time. What’s wrong with finding out how an oppositions team trains, tactics etc etc. Managers should know everything about who they are about to play.
To be completely honest I’d go as far to say I’d be ****** off if Dyche didn’t know which of the other teams players are circumcised

Re: Bielsa Presser at 5pm
It’s way, way, way better than that.
Lampard got ****** off with a guy at a fence.
Bielsa has been talking for 30 minutes plus about what he’s found out from watching over 300 hours of Derby footage. What formations they play and how often they play them, why they change formation, their set pieces, literally every single tactic ever.
Nobody ever needs to scout them again. The whole world can access that information now.
Don’t mess with Bielsa. What a guy.

Sun Tzu, he say: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I really like Lampard but I can imagine him crying at this, just utterly bewildered at what is happening to him and frustrated at being unable to stop it.
Pep called him the most thorough manager in the world. I think we’re seeing that.

Apparently at his interview for the Leeds job they asked him to what he knew of the Chanpionship.conyoviejo wrote:WOW,what a manager.. He knows the ins and outs of a fart from the opposition.. Top man..
“Pick any club...”
..... ‘Burton’
He then got out a dossier which broke down what formation Burton played every game last season

Don't see what all the fuss is about tbh. One thing for sure it ensures the Leeds crowd will be even more behind Bielsa and the team now. Can't see them screwing it up this year unfortunately!
Re: Bielsa Presser at 5pm
Top top class from Bielsa. Managed to make being caught spying on training sessions look insignificant whilst simulaneously exposing Lampard massively.
Derby push for the EFL to take action against Leeds, so Bielsa’s response is basically to hand everyone (including their rivals) a complete dossier on their tactics and set up for free. Sensational.

Clearly a talented manager, but you could argue his greatest talent has been creating a reputation as being a “genius” despite having a managerial record that is probably bettered by a large number of coaches most of the world will never talk about.
If Wiki is accurate he’s has 6 jobs in the last ten years and, outside of Argentinian domestic football, has never won a thing.

Re: Bielsa Presser at 5pm
That doesn't matter to the Leeds fans who think that he is yet another Messiah! We are Leeds, we are top of the League is all that matters to them at the moment but they still have 21 matches to play so anything is possible. Nothing is ever guaranteed in the Championship, although they should make the play-offs if they do not get automatic promotion and they can play some good stuff when it all comes together.agreenwood wrote:Clearly a talented manager, but you could argue his greatest talent has been creating a reputation as being a “genius” despite having a managerial record that is probably bettered by a large number of coaches most of the world will never talk about.

He’s clearly able to get his players to do great things. In that respect he’s an elite coach.
On the flip-side, successes appear short-lived and limited to an appealing style of play, rather than honours.

I've only seen Leeds a couple of times this year, despite the wall to wall coverage of them. Got to say the football they played was pretty amazing, really trusts the youngsters too. Fair do's to him.

Not only that but he has basically told every other team in the league that he knows everything about them. Re: Bielsa Presser at 5pm
I remember when he was Chile manager (I follow their national side) he was an absolute nut. I wanted him as England boss I think I even put it on here before Southgate. He would stay up all night watching video after video and his knowledge really is second to none. It's no surprise he is doing so well. The downside is he is unpredictable so may not stay long but then again it wouldn't be Bielsa.
