Who else is going to Watford game?
Who else is going to Watford game?
When I went last year to our away game at Watford that was when I was in absolute agony walking from Watford Junction train station to the ground and doing the return walk
That was when I was most in pain as a result of having a bulging disc and a trapped nerve
5 weeks ago I had my second spinal surgery to correct it and I will have a much easier pain free walk to hopefully 3 points

I'll be back there with izham and his son, who you may have read on a previous post, is a clarets mad fan from Malaysia.
We travelled up from Sussex together for the Fulham game..... We had a fantastic weekend despite the inhospitable Lancashire weather.

Network rail have decided to do engineering works between MK and Watford so we need to change trains there.
They don't have pubs in MK, just roundabouts.

I know your post was in jest but before Coyle's last game we visited a very convivial inn in MK - on the canal, Red Lion I seem to recall.

They don't really have pubs in Watford either, especially if you like a real ale. It's probably the worst "drinking" place in the PL right now.tybfc wrote:Not drinking in MK.

3 of us from Welwyn Garden.
Mkmel....I have the same disc problem. What was the operation you had?
I think it’s my only alternative after years of Osteo and Physio.

Re: Who else is going to Watford game?
I don't know the technical or proper name for it but the surgeon Professor Shad basically shaved the disc to stop it pressing against a nerve
The same disc that he shaved in August 2017
There are risks and a surgeon once told me 1 in 300 end up in a wheelchair and for a second operation like I had the risks are even greater
But I made it through to the other end
Edit.....In paperwork it says re do L4/5 decompression and discectomy

Thanks MKmel.
I think that’s where i’m heading.
Was it a short recovery and relatively straightforward?

Bad news for anyone wanting a pre-match beer!
Turnstiles
Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off. In order to meet our security obligations, we advise that supporters arrive no later than 45 minutes before kick-off to avoid any potential delays. All supporters will be searched prior to entry into the ground. Alcohol will only be served in the away supporters section of the stadium until 45 minutes before kick-off, as a result of the limited concourse space.

Haven't served beer at Watford for a while now. It's a bit of a nightmare if you're on a bit of a session and need that half time beer to keep yourself topped up!Leisure wrote:Bad news for anyone wanting a pre-match beer!

As soon as I got to my room I was able to walk although slowly within an hour
Walking virtually like normal within 2 days
It hurts the most first thing in the morning after I have laid in bed all night
200gms of Pregabalin and 2 Paracetamol first thing in morning and that's it for the day
Surgeon days ,4 months full recovery but last time and this time for me confident it will be 3 months
You need to get an MRI Scan first
Oh and remember we are all different and back problems can be different
