MOTD

Post by Hibsclaret » Sat Jan 19, 2019 10:41 pm

Speroni has a bet on Liverpool for the title....

Or Speroni full of Peroni?

He was a fair keeper a few years ago.
Bit poor now.

Oldest player in the league who hasn't played in 13 months makes an error, who'da thunk it!?

Didn't know he hadn't played in so long.
We'll give him a bit of leeway, then.

Speroni has certainly never done anything like that when facing Burnley.

Good 'keeper but probably too much for him now. He's been at Palace for nearly 15 years

Not sure I see the distinction, is this worse? Top level football etc...

Hodgson is after his old mate Joe Hart on loan. You heard it here first.

For sale (at a profit) or he stays here. IMO.

MoTD must have a deal with Sky. Every week one shows a highlight that the other doesn’t.
This week MoTD didn’t show Dwights miss.

If it's like most of your transfer rumours it'll probably also be the last place we hear about it too.

I watched the extended highlights on Sky Sports this morning, following MOTD last night. A draw looked a fair result, but it could have been 5-5! Hard to criticize McNeil, but for me that was the chance of the game.

The ball from Hendrick to Bardsley down the right was lovely.

I keep reading all this negativity towards Hart. What did he actually do wrong? Did he drop some clangers that I missed or was he just part of a team that were all performing very badly?

The player ratings for that period certainly don’t suggest that he was the weak link, quite the opposite in fact

I think it's perhaps more about the positives that Heaton has brought when he came back in, as opposed to what Hart did wrong. You can clearly see that the whole team's spirit has risen since he came back as captain.

I would accept that but as far as I can see, Hart didn’t really do much wrong when called upon

Hart was an individual. Heaton is part of a back 5

Good to see they are looking at diving again, last week it was Vardy this week Salah. Could it be possible that Sean gets this cheating eradicated from the game?.

It was good to see Jack Cork, immediately, signal no pen when he went down yesterday. The look on Olivers face he was on his way to book him but relented.

A Terrier (hopefully)...Huddersfield or Dundee United are welcome to him.

Only joking, he is a fine keeper, it's just that I prefer Heaton and Pope.

UTC!

Edit: ha ha just realised Dundee Utd are the Terrors, not the Terriers. Not such a smart @rse now!

I can’t recall specifics, but there were quite a few occasions where I thought he did poorly (perhaps Chelsea at home) and was beat too easily to his lower left side - which is allegedly his weak spot and is a known for the opposition.

That said, I also agree with the point that Heaton brought positives to the team
