I am still trying to work out how Craig Pawson decided that Danny Rose had taken a dive and deserved a caution when he was clattered from behind by Christie.

Re: Todays football.
I noticed from a report on the game that Georges Kevin is the transfer list. However I'm guessing that boat has sailed bearing in mind his assist today, and that with Alli's injury, he might even have a run in their 1st team.
Another what might have been, or what never even had a chance...

Course he dived. They all do. He was certainly touched in the back, but he was going to go down anyway.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote:I am still trying to work out how Craig Pawson decided that Danny Rose had taken a dive and deserved a caution when he was clattered from behind by Christie.
They really need to be consistent about this. If touching someone on the back is a foul, then it is always a foul. Don't encourage the players to dive by giving a free kick if they throw themselves down and letting play go on if they don't; when a player is touched on the back, give a free kick every time.
Or alternatively, don't. Let the game go on, and if the player who is literally screaming with pain because someone touched him doesn't like it, then let him go and play on a bouncy castle because it's a no-contact sport with a soft landing.

I certainly hope so. If he has improved enough to challenge McNeil, Hendrick, Gudmondsson or Brady for a place, I would be surprised. OK, he has put in a good cross for Tottenham, and he almost put in a good cross for Burnley last year if I remember rightly, but is that enough to say he's a Premier League player?chekhov wrote:I noticed from a report on the game that Georges Kevin is the transfer list.
