Similar sort of players aren't they? Can play on the wing or upfront. Not sure where he plays for Hull. I don't know much about Bowen to be honest.

Looks a quality footballer with bags of potential. Would think there would be a 'sell on' value too which makes sense. He's certainly not a one season wonder. Of all the talked about targets he's the one I'd want at our club.

Out of contract next summer, so it's a cash in now/summer or fear losing out on the fee.
His stock is at his highest now, every passing month the fee should decrease IMO should he not sign a new deal.

Doing great in league below - tick
Age 22 - big tick
Can play in a couple of position - tick
Winger and forward/number 10 - big tick
British - tick
2nd consecutive good season - tick
Bags of potential - tick
Potential for a massive asset/ sell on fee - big tick
Should be the sort we are looking at - tick

There you go Bournemouth... ;)

Would be my number 1 target this/next window.

He’s left footed - who tends to play on the right wing for Hull.
It might just be with McNeill and Brady - another left footed wide man might not be a top priority for us.

Bowen is an excellent player. More of a wide midfielder than a winger, I would suggest. But clearly one of the best players currently in the Championship and only 22. Can't see us signing him...but if we did, would be a superb signing.

Is there anything to suggest we're even interested in him? Doesn't fit the profile of the sort of player Dyche usually goes for.

Based on what I've been told by a couple of Spurs fans, I get the impression that Spurs' perceived interest has been hyped up by the media. There doesn't appear to be any suggestion that they're that keen to land him this month.

I'd disagree with the idea he's not the sort of player Dyche signs. I've not seen very much of him, but he looks like a fairly robust player, quite direct, not unlike JBG and Ings. He's also playing his football successfully in the league that Dyche has focused almost all his recruitment on, and he's come up from the very lowest levels which reflects a trend with most of our most successful signings.

No idea how interested we are, no idea if he's good enough or whether the price tag on him is sufficiently sensible, but he's definitely the sort of player we have form for looking at.

I was referring more to his age. Dyche doesn't really seem interested in signing young players. Apart from Charlie Taylor and Michael Keane I can't really think of any others from his period in charge.

What exactly do you class as young as the following players were all early to mid 20s when Dyche signed them

Nick Pope
Tarkowski
Barnes
JBG
Brady
Hendrick
Chris Wood
Taylor
Keane

I wouldn't really say mid 20s is young in football terms. I'd probably define it as 23 or under.

That definition conveniently aligns to your point then !!

24 / 25 is of course young - for the average premier league footballer by the time you are 24 or 25 you are only around a third into your playing career.

Like most managers ours tries to achieve a balance of age / experience across his squad.

Agree, looks a quality player, and we could do with signing players like him...will our wage structure permit it?

Certainly may be an attractive proposition for him: British players given a chance, still up North, etc.?!

Since several posters on here have indicated that Burnley are reluctant to sign players who carry a "premium" I would have thought it highly unlikely that we will be signing one of the most sought after players in the Championship.

There have been quite a few suggestions that we've been scouting him/ are interested in him, AG. That's been in a number of the papers.

Whether Papabendi has any sort of information that prompted the OP, I don't think he's clarified.

I've no idea whether this is of any relevance, but he's one of those players who was signed for Hull whilst Bruce (who is of course friendly with Dyche) was in charge and Ternent was chief scout.

It was on some sort of quick news line, possibly a paper or internet saying Burnley, Crystal Palace and ( another club ) have sent scouts to watch Hulls Jarrod Bowen in their home game v X club.

Was a short peice, but i doubt there's many clubs in the top 2 divisions that haven't had him watched at some point this season.

The type we should be looking at if we want to move forward both in the market and on the pitch.

I’m not convinced we will sign anyone this window mind you.

What happened to The Januzaj and Allen links does anyone know?

Hull have possibly signed on loan Marc Pugh as a replacement in anticipation of Bowen being transferred. I live quite near Hull and see some of their games and Bowen is a good player. Has bags of skill, runs at defenders and scores quite a few goals. He would be a great signing for the Clarets and has all the attributes to be an instant success.

There's a few posters on here that claim know random players, have mates who have mates who know random players who just so happen to pass on all their wages and transfer decisions, and people who who seem to know the inside workings if most clubs...

I'm sure even if we were linked with Asif Imreal from Bengal Wanderers someone would know him, or the inside info of the club.

Funny who should mention Asif, a lad I know who came over to play cricket in the Lancs League follows Bengal and says he's a technically gifted wideman but not quite ready for the PL. Trying to find you tube clips of him is proving difficult :P
