"Suspended of his duties" - decision to be made on Friday whether he'll be sacked.

Is this anything to do with the insults he threw at an opposition player at weekend? "Whore of a grandmother" or something along those lines. If so I think Monaco have used it is an easy excuse to get rid of someone who is obviously not cut out for management

He can team up with Carragher, throwing the insults while Carragher spits.

And Gary Neville after his less than impressive stint in management.

Shows talking the talk is easier than walking the walk, the only regular pundits i can suggest with a track record in management is Martin O'Neill and at a push Gordon Strachan.

Edit officially been punted https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46995436

To be fair I listened to the barton podcast with neville. And while i dont usually like neville that much he came accross very well and exolained exactly why he failed as a manager and why he wouldnt be a success again.

Theres no reason why a pundit cant fail as a manager and still be a pundit. Especially one with a career as succesful on the pitch as neville.

Not really a surprise. When he was working as a pundit he never said anything remotely insightful or interesting.

It's a funny thing is swearing. 'Son of a bitch' is used daily in the US, but it doesn't translate well in Spain, for instance. Telling someone to bugger off is fine in lancashire and yorkshire, less so dahn sahf where calling someone a **** is fine, but it's not so fine up here.

We're all pundits though. We all have an opinion. Just listened to Joe Cole. Very insightful and thought out contribution from him and he gets paid too. I must remember that people like him have 'played the game', though which of course gives him at least a head start over the rest of us.

Talking of Carragher, he's doing a one man show at Colne Muni in the next couple of months.

Why would anyone want to shell out to watch someone speak who you can't understand what they are saying without the use of subtitles most of the time.

Also the front three rows are provided with a free hooded poncho

Once again we have a top player failing at management. This seems to happen way more often than not.

I suspect in this case it was less legs, hearts and minds and more look at me wasn’t I a great player.....

Great players seldom make good managers
Stam Hughes Charlton Henry Casper Waddle Laws all great players not managers

Did Brian Laws just get categorised as a footballer with Thierry Henry?
