we are away at City and they are at home to Rochdale

Not sure how it would have been better.
Could have affected our league form by losing to them. Chance to give some players on the fringes game time. Chance of top class silverware for the first time since 1960 when we knock City out etc etc.
Don’t get the negativity of ever wanting us to lose and how it might ever be better....

Finding positives in any defeat is silver lining stuff. I never want to see us lose, regardless. As I say, if we had lost to Barnsley, I'd probably be looking for the positives angles. But quite rightly, a win is a win and it keeps squad players on their toes.
