Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4

Post by IanMcL » Sat Jan 26, 2019 1:27 pm

The Clarets are in Manchester, as a step on our way to Wembley and FA Cup glory.

Madge is charged up and ready to go, in support of our heroes.

Come on you Clarets, show them we can play.

Afternoon Ian, afternoon Tribesmen and Piston - a good performance and no heavy defeat will suffice, for me. It's all about the league this season.

Or we could line up in a 4-4-2 with Tarks at right back.

Looks like we're banking on City not playing a left back or a left winger!!

------------------Pope---------------------------
------------Long Tarks Gibson-------Ward/Taylor
--------------Hendrick Defour------ McNeil/Brady
-----------------Vydra----------------------------

Line-up completed via a draw, by the look of it! First out is keeper, next out rightside defender etc.

Just luck we are going to win anyway. Never heard of any of that city team!

Let's wait and see. Players have a chance to play for the shirt and Stones always makes a mistake or three.

Agree about Vokes, we could have played him at left back and moved both Ward and Taylor forwards.

He'll get on last 20 mins, to defend corners. Our only substitution of the day, barring injuries.

Derryclaret/Tribesmen,

Just wondered what the view in Ireland is regarding Hendrick?

Do they like him as a player?

Set up to hopefully not get stuffed. I hope Nick plays better than he did for the U23's last week. I'm not concerned, it's still early days in his recovery.
We have a habit of playing well at Citeh, then imploding as soon as the 1st goes in, the second follows within minutes. We need to keep our heads today, remember there are more important things coming up, and enjoy ourselves. I can't see how we can carry a threat going forward with a midfield and forward line that aren't used to playing with each other, nudge nudge wink wink, say no more.

For those watching the stream, perhaps one of you can confirm the lineup.

McNeil is so comfortable on the ball, gives it to Taylor who aimlessly launches it and Dyche ******** him for giving the ball away !
