Burnley throwing near corner flag and after a few swift passes we manage to get it all the way back to Pope. Just about sums up our style of play

City has their 1st team squad. They are dominating possession but havent had top many good chances. I say we are playing well considering our opponent

What do you expect? That would always be the case with city or would you say we're only playing well if we match city? What planet do you live on?joey13 wrote:No iam obviously not there watching on tv , we are getting dominated , sorry I’m not a sheep

Saw an interview with Frank Lampard after their game saying if 2 thousand of their fans made the effort to go to Accy today then he has a duty to take the game seriously. It's a lesson Dyche could heed when it comes to cup games.

HT great effort from the lads against a world class team.
I expect Barnes or Woods to come on for Vydra later

Half Time and we are only one down. Everything to play for!
Subs may make all this difference!
Madge is a pale reflection of her usual self, for our half time entertainment!

I know City are class, but we are giving them all the time in the world. Just too easy for them. Been a frustrating last 30 mins.

We are playing well. Great shape and doing well defens... in fact I can't be arsed you're blind if you think we are playing badly so far against a team that's scored 25 and conceded 1 in the last 5 games or something.

Walker commits a similar foul to Brady, yet only gets a yellow.

They are one of THE best teams on the planet. It's not a world class team. its a world class squad. We have made 7 changes in order to give game time to players in great need of it, and to save the legs for Man U, which is far more important. Under those circumstances we are playing well, and everybody on this board sees it. Apart from you.

Re: Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4
It is a truly miserable experience watching this. I put no blame on our players when I say that. Can't for the life in me understand the thinking of Vydra upfront on his own though. You have to go long to get out of trouble against City. Our only chance is try to feed off the scraps a target man might provide. This is not the game to give Vydra his chance. Setting him up to fail, confidence crusher imoFunkydrummer wrote:I'm bored - it's like a cat playing with a mouse and I don't like it one bit.

Re: Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4
Sean Dyche has made it quite clear on a number of occasions that he does not want to disrespect the FA Cup but the reality is that his main concern is to keep the Club in the Premier League. I can't understand why people are surprised that he has put the team out that he has. It is much more important to get points in the League than have a cup run. Cup runs are not as lucrative as staying in this league.

So, why doesnt he do the same in the Prem against these top teams where 95% of the team we lose? and save the legs for the games where we can get something? I guess because it's good for the team to work on things and get a cohesion and understanding going.FactualFrank wrote:Priorities.
Absolutely none out there today and is just a waste of time; it wont give players any more fitness or sharpness coz in a few weeks they'll be back to where there were and needing games for sharpness again.
It'd have been better getting prepped for Tuesday and playing a full strength side more or less for 60/70 mins and then start making changes instead of taking the **** with this side.

Perhaps what I should also add is that I am now off to play records. I will not be watching the second half. I've just received the new single by Durand Jones and the Indications, which needs playing a few times and I have also got a CD to compile. So enjoy the rest of you.

Vydra upfront on his own and Taylor at right back is frankly taking the ****. Not sure I'll bother going to another cup game while Dyche is in charge, complete waste of time.

They should be prosecuted under the Trades Description Act - in no way can that debacle be described as a game of football.
We are doing well in the circumstances and it's best that we rest players ready for the next league game, as to play a full side would not alter anything in the slightest.

Great chance Vydra
Re: Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4
Side netting from Vydra. Why’s he playing lone striker when our outlet will be a target man from a clearance??
Dyche is playing some sort of agenda here and I don’t like it.

I assume amongst strengthening up the midfield Dyche wants to get McNeil on the left so Hendrick will push out to right midfieldjedi_master wrote:Why’s Brady gone off?

A confident striker, or even, a good striker (sorry) goes round the keeper there rather than taking the shot on.
Ederson has sold himself, it was obvious what to do. Poor.
