A goal from giving the ball away cheaply. It's hard enough without giving them the bloody thing.

Been frozen out for 6 months by his manager doesn't exactly help his confidence or sharpness does it?jedi_master wrote:A confident striker, or even, a good striker (sorry) goes round the keeper there rather than taking the shot on.
Ederson has sold himself, it was obvious what to do. Poor.

Should be 1-1 right now, would be if we had any other striker up top.
Out we go.

Re: Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4
Nick could have done better, but the problem as usual is when we get turned quickly and end up running back to defend. The balls always in the net before we get back and organised.
We have to stop losing the ball on the half way line.

Oh well, have to take your scraps against teams like City, barring a miracle it's back onto the league full time, surviving this ruthless league we're in.

City have one of the best squads ever assembled at an immense cost, I must admit though I'm beginning to get very bored of them

3-0. Is what it is. It’ll finish 5 or 6. Dyche has his much desired excuse never to play Vydra again too, so mission accomplished really.

Cant make my mind up if this performance is better than the West Ham game. We've been excellent in both so its a tough call

Strange how Fulham only lost 3-0 in the league, especially with their defence.

City are boring. Where's the fun and fairness in this? It's absolutely dreadful for football.

Re: Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4
I don’t get this perception that it’s Dyches fault that Vydra isn’t good enough. He’s played, what, maybe 8-9 games now, has he looked good enough (really) in any of them? If Dyche had Messi in his squad, he’d play him, he isn’t playing Vydra because he is the worst of the strikers we have, what other bizarre reason than that could there be?SGr wrote:3-0. Especially when the evidence is there when we watch him. Possibly the worst signing we’ve ever made when you consider the £12m cost.

Re: Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4
Well he's managed to score 2 goals despite barely getting on the pitch and won the penalty against Barnsley. But of course it must be his fault we aren't allowed to criticise Dyche are we?jedi_master wrote:Is it not clear why he has been frozen out? He looks poor every occasion he plays?

Re: Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R4
As someone else has pointed out, Dyche has got his reason to freeze Vydra out for the rest of the season, so mission accomplished today.

We need to keep the score down. Goal difference could be crucial at the end of the season.

This is how teams feel in the SPL when they go to Celtic. There’s no competition and no point in them turning up. In a cup though you’ve got to give it a good go. There’s a reason tickets were cheap.

Bit of a bad example. Its a three horse race in Scotland this season.Blackrod wrote:This is how teams feel in the SPL when they go to Celtic. There’s no competition and no point in them turning up. In a cup though you’ve got to give it a good go. There’s a reason tickets were cheap.
