Just glad I had a tickle on Aguero getting the 5th.

Just don't bother entering the cup competitions next year.

I’m glad we’re playing City. Defending, keeping, etc is basically the same as when we play teams like Accy, Lincoln and Port Vale. Least we’ve got something to mask it this time :?

Pathetic. No urgency. They gave up 5 mins into the 2nd half.

I hate City, they're actually turning me against football. I never thought that could happen but the lack of fairness it tough to take; it's no wonder people are annoyed.

Yeah, Kevin Long should have cleared that but really what I'm annoyed by is that City - a club who used to spend the money they raised from people in Moss Side - can fund the signing of Aguero with the backing of Mid East oil money with the intention of using it to whitewash the reputation of their less than gleaming nation state.

I must be missing something. Why risk Westy, Cork and Wood after gane is lost. Why play Mcneil etc for 90 mins before MU on tuesday. Makes no sense to me. Sorry for the fans who travelled.

Spot on. Spurs another example. In the championship our levels are impressive, here it’s just another level. Watford have right idea in making pace and power a genuine transfer objective.

I find it really sad that we don’t take cup competitions seriously. Clearly a very tough draw, but it was a write off the moment the team was announced.

We play the reserves regardless of the opposition and it’s a policy that usually sees us out of every cup competition within the first few rounds at which we enter.

Kick, run, hope.......They pass to each other, we pass to space, they close down, we don't, City are ruthless, we're clueless.

Good solid performance, cant fault the lads today. Play like that against sides like Barnsley and we'd comfortably scrape a raggy 1-0 win

I found it sad with the Europa, but the other two whilst we remain in a relegation battle are a drain on the limited squad we have, in my opinion.

A cup run is great but (and I hate saying this as I sound like a Stoke fan) staying in this league is our absolute priority and always will be I imagine.

Think it's fair to say that Heaton is firmly number one and Kevin Long should be behind Gibson for opportunities

Oh I’m sure it would’ve been much a different result if we’d played a lower league side. Like Lincoln. Or Port Vale.

Used to be STATS & DAME LIES, now it appears spin can be used to support any argument. Interesting to read comments

You would have thought that if we were up for it, a better performance would have happened. Don't forget this lot were beaten by Leicester recently who are on a real slide. For me it just shows how many cracks we have and the real depth of our squad. Sadly a lot will be saying "yes but it was Man City". Interesting that when we last played a 5 man defence we let in 5 at home against a poor Everton

Dyche confirms Brady taken off with injury. “Hopefully not serious”. He’s been injury prone since his return in summer, as has JBG. Lennon out for a lengthy period of time too.

But no, we don’t need a winger. Not one bit.

We don’t need a winger in the long term. Better trying to get someone on loan.

But teams probably don't want to loan us players now because they know they'll just sit on the bench for 6 months and it's a waste of everyone's time.

Well it’s something we are not changing to put right. To have any chance of trying to win a one off knockout game you have to have a shot on target.

Couldn't give a monkeys feck about this game, its result, its story as it unfolded, the scoreline, the vydra miss, nothing. I was excited for the potential of an upset and that's it. glad there were no injuries, glad some folk got a run out against some of the best in the world and hope that the travelling fans had a good singsong. The small potential to cause a massive upset was there but 'oh well, nevermind' I said to myself when the second went in. Hope folk there had a good sing song and that's about it really. Staying in the league, given our current predicament, is all I'm bothered about. Lincoln hurt, this didn't. Expecting a fighting loss on Tuesday then back reality against Southampton. Hey ho, pass the butter, role on the survival fight.

Another shocking result. Another five goals shipped. I know its Man City but surely we should not be embarrasing ourselves like this so often. Everton scored 5. Beaten tonight at Millwall

The frustration for me is that we don't change it up. At 2-0 down, we should have told the lads to have a go, with nothing to lose at that point, but instead we still sat incredibly deep with a back line of 5 and a line of 4 just in front. I think the fans want to see us having a go.
