Manchester City no fair play at all
I can't bear to watch Manchester City. All this adoration of Pep Guardiola, cheating FFP, etc.
Even Rocky could manage that team to the Premiership title.
Ruining football if you ask me.

Can you really see them sticking 4 or 5 past Utd at the moment when they play at Old Trafford?

They’re a sh1t Club, really. They were really a bit of a joke for years until they lucked out getting a brand new Stadium given to them and then inherited Billionaire Owners. Without this good fortune they’d still be bouncing between the top two divisions with boring monotony and providing comic relief for United fans.

Don't kid yourself though, had Sterling not missed that sitter they would have gone on to batter us in the game you mention. It's why we should have sent the development squad today

Thank phook we are out,now we can concentrate on staying in the premier league for another season..
Re: Manchester City no fair play at all
I can understand the upset at yet another thrashing at the Etihad by this City team. It just shows the gap between us and them. It is a bit pathetic really though given not one sbot on goal and highlights that we are short of a couple of greally good players including a midfield stopper in matches like this.
Re: Manchester City no fair play at all
Yeah I can't wait for another season of struggling to scrape 35 points so we can finish 17th. That's what football's all about!conyoviejo wrote:Thank phook we are out,now we can concentrate on staying in the premier league for another season..

Oh my goodness, you really have me there. Changing the tense really confused the fact I thought you were being unnecessarily harsh on our team. I've seen your posts over the season and know how critical you are of everything Burnley so I don't feel too bad with a slight misquote.BurnleyFC wrote:This coming from the person who can’t even quote a post properly?

Re: Manchester City no fair play at all
We could’ve made it slightly more competitive by playing our best side. We probably wouldn’t have won, but still.Vegas Claret wrote:I like sport to be competitive, I love watching City in the CL because they are given a game

You can’t criticise City for pasting us when we send out our reserves. They are still competing on all four fronts but still played their big guns.

Re: Manchester City no fair play at all
No we didn't need to but our manager thought this was best for our club for the bigger picture of staying in the PL. I hope, if we can establish ourselves for a few more seasons, then we will make more of an attempt at competing in the FA cup but the first port of call is the PL.jrgbfc wrote:We didn't have to play our reserve team though did we?
By the way we lost 5 nil with our first team too only a few months back?!

Every team can point to moments in games where they miss chances. Even we had a great chance to equalise today.Vegas Claret wrote:I like sport to be competitive, I love watching City in the CL because they are given a game

We still did better than most teams did against them last season.
As for this year, they aren't head and shoulders above everyone else.

I’d rather Liverpool win the league to mix it up. I don’t want a break away European League. People think that it will level the playing field but in reality the best of the rest will just get heavier investment and we’ll end up with a new ‘big six’ comprising of the likes of Everton, West Ham etc.

I'd like the rich old boys to stay, and the rich new boys to **** off.
Keep Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal - all clubs that were good before money existed and then got better when money was discovered - and bin off Chelsea, Man City, Watford and Bournemouth - all clubs that, the odd season in the sun apart, were nothing until the money came rolling in.
I must caveat this by meaning 'outside money'. Money earned within the sport is fair, we all earn the same from sky give or take. Money earned from match day is fair, money earned from corporate is also fair. Money earned from benefactors is not fair and has done/is doing/will continue to skew the game.
Grr.

I'd rather operate the way we do, however I doubt any Rovers fans complained about how unfair it was for other teams when they became the richest club in the world when Jack Walker invested his money.
