Millwall Vs Everton

Post by Quickenthetempo » Sat Jan 26, 2019 7:10 pm

A decent cup tie in horrible conditions but it's been marred by violence all afternoon.
Millwall got it back to 2-2 with a handball goal but let's hope there's no replay.

A video on twitter of fighting then a Millwall fan jumps over a little wall and slashes an Everton fan right accross the face.

Not a handball. Commentators wittering on about it even when they're watching the replay when it's visible that he only moved his arm after the ball hit it.

Certainly handball. And the clown of a Lino that didn't see it was the same one that wrongly gave Wood offside last week.

You can't score a goal that touches someone's hand last.

I'm pretty sure that if it's not intentional then according to the laws of the game you can. We saw in the world cup though that referees interpreted the rule in that any goal scored or prevented with an unintentional handball is handball, and that should probably be the case.

3-2. I don't like Milwall but that's hilarious. I think Silva will have a cry.

Not true. IFAB are looking at this but current law stands. The Premier League are bending the laws (not to IFAB's pleasure) with their stance. That is a PL interpretation as I understand it so not sure it applies in the FA Cup. Which is what happens if you start messing about with interpretation instead of just playing to the laws.

Everton seem to spend a fortune year on year and never get any better.

Goalkeeper and defence are terrible.

We made Everton look like world beaters on Boxing Day. Every time I've seen them this season other than that they've looked really poor.

Certainly looked like Everton were giving as good as they got in the videos I saw. Typical Cockneys having to resort to using knives.

It seems there's about 7 different videos of the slasher in action and it happened right in front of a copper filming.

If you don’t love that sort of game with all the associated aggro then what is it exactly that you like about football?

Not condoning it either but if I was looking for a pre match pint at Millwall I wouldn’t be choosing a pub inside a Bermondsey council estate.

Dont understand why anyone would bother in this day and age.

Especially as all that seems to happen is all of their mates film it and send it to everyone and drop em in it anyway!

It looks like the Everton chaps got off the tube somewhat en mass at Surrey Quays, so were hardly keeping a low profile and were possibly even trying to make a statement of sorts. I think on the video you can see the guy who gets slashed very much at the forefront and actually going at another chap trading punches before he reels away and falls down holding his face. Most people who have followed football long enough will have had occasion to visit Millwall and would know that it needs a bit of forethought and sensible management!! Having said that nobody in our society should be carrying knives or blades around and there's someone there who could even have been facing a murder charge if things had panned out differently because he's taken a conscious decision to go out carrying it. And all over a footy match. Plain bonkers!

Everton clearly gone down there looking for it. Piled out of the train station and ended up in what was probably a pre arranged meet with the Millwall lot. Not that it excuses the lad getting slashed, real cowards trick.

Lot of history between the 2, when the draw came out the Everton boards were flooded in minutes with Millwall 'faces' extending a welcome.

Some nasty vidoes on social media.

However some are just plain stupid, one being 2 "lads" chanting "we F***ing hate millwall" whilst hordes of what i presume millwall fans walk past, until 1 man takes exception and whacks him straight in the mush knocking him out/over.

Just plain stupid.
