Austin Aleggone for sale

Post by IanMcL » Sat Jan 26, 2019 8:32 pm

Worth a punt for us, even if limited availability.

Southampton striker Charlie Austin will leave the club this month with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa interested in the 29-year-old Englishman. (Telegraph)

Wolves are interested - which means we have no chance. He's clearly a money man, so will take the higher wage offer.

Next.

Excellent player. Especially for us. But we definitely dont play to his strengths. In fact when Dyche came in his goals dried up.

If we had Trippier and probably Howe still would be worth it. But not the right sort of player we need. Thats bot a criticism of him or us. Just styles.

Had he kept injury free hed be an England regular.

We had the best out of him at the time but that was years ago so best leave it at that.

I think this one would be no cheaper than others ..... they are all cheap.

If I recall they were the first production cars to use adhesive to attach the suspension to the body work. A bit like Charlie - patched up and sent on the road.

I am seriously looking at buying one with the retro car thing beginning to take shape. I saw a cracking MG maestro turbo last week and was tempted.

Great car.

Brakes not up to stopping it though which can be a disadvantage.

Spurs should be in for him.

Get Trippier whipping them in, he’d be a great option for when Kane is injured.

He scores goals, when on the pitch. That's what we need!

Loved Charlie when he was here and Payton aside one of the best strikers we've had in a couple of decades. I haven't really followed his career much since he left but when I have seen Southampton and he's played then he seemed to have bagged.

I know he had a few problems whilst he was with us or it was rumoured but he still did the business and he was young. Not an excuse but we all make mistakes. Would I have him back at BFC from the little I've seen this season and what he did with us then yes. He's a bit different to what we've got. The time with him and Tripps was a joy to watch at times.

Here we are. Really wasn't worth waiting for boys
