A penalty, CT? Did you happen to record it? Sounds like we toughed it out. My son has seen a number of U'23's games this season and has sung the praises of the midfielders on view. He has especially mentioned Mace Goodridge who I know has been sidelined for a while now with a nasty injury. Anyone impressed you so far?

Did "Trialist" impress in his cameo?

Very much toughed it out yesterday against a strong and very physical Birmingham team. The two central defenders I thought were exceptional in a really good team performance.Silkyskills1 wrote:A penalty, CT? Did you happen to record it? Sounds like we toughed it out. Re: midfield. Mace Goodridge & Josh Benson both came in last summer after trials. Both have impressed although Mace suffered a cruciate three months ago. Christian N’Guessan has been out longer while there’s also Mark Howarth who continues to impress. All four are very good at that level while all still being young. N’Guessan was recently 20, the other three are all 19. If I have to pick one then it would be Benson.

Let's hope he can make similar progress to McNeil

Amazing, so soon after I'd posted that too. He played really well yesterday but I wasn't expecting him to be on the bench tonight. Fantastic for him.IanMcL wrote:'If I have to pick one then it would be Benson'

Recognition for another young lad bodes well.
