I can believe that, I once worked a building site in Buxton which shut down early one day because snow; nothing unusual, except it was the first week of June!

About 1975 and the Derbyshire Lancs cricket match was abandoned for the day due to snow. I was on hols in a caravan on the East Coast-really cold that night-wondered why until I heard the news

Snow? Had a about an inch on Friday but gone now...back to the shorts again as it’s a bright sunny and dry day down here.

In fact we are off to the sea side in a bit, sometimes football has to take a back seat on a day like this in the middle of winter.

That's right. 1975. :)
Good old photo here that gets aired now and then in the local paper.
