Already stripped the supermarket shelves of milk, butter, eggs and bread.

Only a massive bread and butter pudding will be any comfort for the upcoming apocalypse.

It could cause some delays for the travelling fans tomorrow. Just one inch of the white stuff and the A56 becomes gridlocked.

Bodes well for the game tomorrow. Uniteds pampered prima donnas might not want to play unless their gloves and tights are aired. They might have to send out the youth team.

Here in Southern Ontario we’re in the middle of quite a significant snow event. It’s been snowing on and off all day, a bit of a lull at the moment, forecast to start up again overnight. Forecast to dump up to 15 cm of the white stuff. It’s been cold too, -20 in my neck of the woods this morning. Typically it doesn’t snow when temperatures drop this low.

It's an "Alberta Clipper", exile. But you're right. Clipper systems are usually starved of a source of moisture, and so do little more than reinforce the cold, usually. This one is a little juicier than normal. (This all sounds rather sexual.) So, get your old lady out there in the morning, and everything should be just fine. :)

Nope, it was only yesterday that various supermarket bosses said that any disruption to the supply chain will cause shortages.

Fast and thick in Burnley....and sticking now.

Could be a nightmare on the roads....i`m supposed to be setting off at 4pm as in hospitality.

Still saying mostly sleet in Manchester but the problem is getting out of Burnley and what Rossendale and the motorway are like.

That famous Spanish/Norwegian artillery man, Ole Gunner Solskjaer, is currently dancing on the centre spot at Old Trafford singing 'There's snow business like show business', whilst dancing The Halling wearing bunad and drinking akvavit. Pogba, Sanchez and Lukaku are watching from the stands wrapped in several layers of clothing in sleeping bags, Sanchez is saying 'There's no feckin way on Gods good earth I'm turning out in this later'. Pogba replies 'No way, the little Norwegian tramp can go and feck himself, let's send the kids out, we can afford a loss'. Fellaini is inside consulting his hairdresser.

Meanwhile at Turf Moor Dyche is glaring at Defour who has just requested a pair of gloves.

We've had some snow showers in Manchester but predominantly sleet or rain. Nothing to see snow-wise here and likely to stay that way.

we've got about an inch on the ground here in Bedfordshire and anyone would think the world is ending with the panic on the local news... I was asked if I am going to Turf Moor tomorrow... "Of course" was my answer

Excellent. As long as the main roads are clear, escaping snowy Wiltshire for Turf Moor, will be a pleasure. Car charged and ready.
