Dog ban
On Northwest tonight that some councils are looking at banning dogs from public places and fining owners for breaching it.
Cant believe its taken this long to enforce. Cant walk more than two streets in Burnley without having to dodge dog ****. And who wants a nice walk up pendle or towneley spoiled by some idiots dog on the loose.
Nothing worse than dog owners. Thinking you love their dog as much as they do. Never mind the biting, who wants some mutt jumping up with its **** covered paws licking your face.
Would you vote for a similar move in Burnley?

Re: Dog ban
We have some great football pitches in Oswaldtwistle, The White Ash playing fields, you cant walk past without seeing dogs running about and S....ng all over the area, yet directly across the road there is a large, unused public field that no dog owners choose to use to excercise their dogs, I certainly would like to see dogs and their owners banned from the football fields then perhaps we will see a few more sliding tackles going in from our local teams on Sunday mornings.good post cricketfield.

Re: Dog ban
I used to be a responsible dog owner, I’d always take bags with me and pick up the mess. These days I don’t bother. The way I see it is that all dog owners are tarred with the same brush so I just let my dog lay a cable where she pleases and leave it to firm up and degrade. I try to avoid children’s play areas etc but if you’ve gotta go you’ve gotta go.

We were sat on a bench eating our lunch on a coastal footpath when a big silly Labrador came bounding up to us at full pelt - nearly sticking its head into our lunch. The owner about 30 meters away shouted "it's ok, he doesn't bite'". I shouted back "I fecking do". The dog owner quickly had it back on its lead.

When I was kid ... in our village we had a character nicknamed Fred the phantom crapper.... his Mrs banned him from the house because of his supposedly messy toilet habit... so he would be seen striding out over the fields evrey morning to do his business
The rumour had it ... that to help him go ... he took (epsom) salts .... my m8 said he took salts all right SOMERSALTS hence the mess
We used to collect Dog Poo's and stick little "Fred the phantom crapper was here" flags in them around the village for a laugh.....

I walk daughter's dogs sometimes and also carry a short handled coal shovel. It's for picking up dogger and also serves as a defence against abusive youths in cars with blacked-out windows stopping and oining you.

Re: Dog ban
All dogs to be licenced and DNA tested. Any hundekacke found in public places to be DNA sampled and a fine of £1000 to be issued to the registered owner. Death penalty for those who refuse pay. Ok, maybe I'm being too draconian here. Fines to be around the £500 mark.

Charlie, how'd you do in Xpert 11 this year. I was the worst non-disbanded team in Division 3. Think of me as the Notts County of the Clarets Championship. At least I haven't been caught taking pictures of my manhood (at least not yet, probably because the subject matter is too small).

Re: Dog ban
Could do with dog parks like in America.
Dogs wouldn't be a problem if their owners knew how to train them. How many of them do you see being towed around by their dog, which I believe is a sign that the dog regards them as a lesser member of its pack.
Imagine being that thick that your own dog looks down on you.
