I know tybfc posted in the Accy Clarets thread, but I thought it was worth its own thread.
Heavy traffic expected heating down the 66 this evening.
SUPPORTER INFORMATION: Please allow extra time to get to Manchester this evening.
We are receiving reports of heavy backlogs on the M66 southbound.

Should clear the snow then.

Traffic will be absolutely shite in town tonight by the way. United at home, gig at the arena and roadworks all over shop but especially in the vicinity of old Trafford.
Park up and get the tram in.

I’ve just travelled down the M66. No problems but was probably half an hour since we came off.

The tweet was from the Burnley account well before you will have travelled down, maybe just being cautious

I was on the X43. Bit of a pain getting from M66 onto M60 but otherwise fine. Will clearly get a lot busier than it was but at the least the roads were fine.

Just spoken to MDWat who is driving on the M62 from Leeds. He’s done ok up to the Elland junction (24) but since slowed right down with snow warning up on the highest point. If you are travelling that way you will need a bit longer than usual.

No rain or snow in Manchester now, but it’s damp.
They are expecting a big crowd tonight after 8 wins in a row, so don’t hang about.
