Well that was always going to happen. Stupid stupid stuff from Hendrick and that’s cost us the game.

Was written in stone the moment the penalty was conceded.

Reckless by Hendrick, but if that happens in the other penalty area the ref waves play on.

Penalty all day long for me, its instinct to do what Hendrick did when your tired, as soon as you put your hand out and pull them you're regretting it

Defo a pen but there’s no excuse for Pogba still being on the pitch to take it

Stupid by Hendrick. Wasn’t nessacery, he wasn’t going anywhere! Stupid to give away a free shot at goal. Doesn’t matter if you’re tired as a premier league footballer you should know not to do that. Stupid. Brain dead in fact.

When we scored our second, I said to my mates here that this could still end up 2 apiece. What the f.ck was Hendrick doing to give away that pen, it must be the Irish in him? Definite pen tho. We still need to learn how to pass to each other in midfield. Happy with a point but genuinely disappointed that we didn't get three: we need to learn about game management.

I'd have took a point at 8 o'clock.

The unbeaten run goes on.

Happy days.

So why, if that was a penalty, was the same sort of contact made by several players on Ashley Barnes throughout the game not rewarded with a free kick.
I am asking the question as a retired referee because I no longer know what constitutes a foul. If it is a penalty when it is in the box, it is a free kick anywhere else, even though it is a sign that the game is going down the pan very quickly with pundits saying "He felt contact so he is entitled to go down" ---did they ever see George Best and Malcolm Madonald play ---it would have been a game full of penalties!

Ashington, don't forget it was John Moss at Old Trafford.

Franny Lee was always getting penalties....that and Bog rolls is all I can remember him for.

I know VIno, it is just the way that the game is going these days. He was definitely waiting for a chance but that would have been laughed away by any official ten years ago!

The penalty was very soft. Yes Hendrick put his hand in Lingaard but the way he threw himself down made it look like Hendrick had violently manhandled him. Any fair ref would have booked Lingaard. The ref allowed much stronger challenges to go unpunished, throughout the match.

This was the prem, doing their bit for their favourites.

The Clarets played so well and morally won so Naughty Madge has come out to dance.

The lads deserve it.
