Footballers come and go and always will. Sam's been good for us and viva versa, we move on.
Thanks Sam.

Re: ARTICLE: Stoke’s Vokes
Best wishes to Sam he was a great servant to BFC and deserves regular starts,7 million isn't to be sniffed at,and will hopefully go towards a long-term upgrade,Crouch in the short-term is an adequate replacement/back up,but in the summer we need to inject young blood into the strike force.

Yes thanks for the memories Sam, won't forget your headed goal against QPR that won promotion back to the Premier League. Good luck at Stoke unless we are playing them sometime soon

Thanks for the memories Sam.
I really think you found a home with us, that allowed you to blossom in to a top player.
All the best and I hope it works out for you at Stoke.

Was hilarious in Istanbul when the Turkish bloke using the loudest PA system ever called him Sam Voke.ICL wrote:Thanks for the memories Sam.

This lead to an impromptu ‘there’s only one Sam Voke’ chant that was quite amusing at the time..

Re: ARTICLE: Stoke’s Vokes
Very sad to see him go. He went average championship journey man to a player of immense capability. Unbelievably immense in both promotion seasons. Never seen a Burnley player transform quite like Vokes. It was an absolute joy to witness. To say I will miss him is an understatement. All the best Sam. UTC

Absolutely gutted. What a wonderful player he has been for us! Gave his heart and soul every single game. A true Claret legend who was part of the furniture. Never thought this day would come.
Thanks for the memories, Sam.

A fantastic player for us. He has been an absolute joy to watch from afar. A wonderful ambassador for our club. Possibly the most integral player, overall, with our Premier League adventure. It was obvious though that his time was up. Good luck to him and many thanks.

Re: ARTICLE: Stoke’s Vokes
And, just like Arfield, it’s a move you could see the sense in if he’d been adequately replaced. Sadly, like with Arfield, this isn’t the case.Lord Beamish wrote:Like Arfield, Sam is a modern day Legend. He has been an integral part of the most successful and sustained period of growth I’ve seen at the Club in my lifetime. I’m truly sad to see him leave.
Thanks for all those great memories, Sam.
I fear we may miss him more if we finish up in the Championship.

Re: ARTICLE: Stoke’s Vokes
We are not just losing the best header of a ball in the club, we are also losing one of our most effective defenders of set plays. like others on this thread, I'm gutted the big man is leaving. Fingers crossed Barnes/Wood stay injury free, or this could seriously come back and bite us on the @rse.
