Rabbit out of the hat!!!
Charlie Austin....returning.
Who else believes we will still come good with a signing when all else and history tells us otherwise

I want a quick striker that can stretch a game, we need it for when we are leading in the last ten so we aren't penned in hanging on for dear life!

Nothing new there then. Where's the risk management on cm and out wide then. Cork or Westwood out for a while in particular and we are stuffed.

Just when you think we can't be any worse at football transfers, we surprise ourselves.

No worse than summer which, on reflection, was a virtual write off.
Re: Rabbit out of the hat!!!
Literally amazing transfer window. Does Mike Garlick just play with himself instead of getting deals done?

Re: Rabbit out of the hat!!!
I mean what is the point of transfer windows where Burnley Football Club are concerned?

Why were all the Januzaj threads pulled? I actually thought threre might be a Tony article and that was why he was removing them!
Re: Rabbit out of the hat!!!
Not openly criticised the Club for many a year but this window has been a disgrace unless the Board are happy with relegation because we have done nothing to boost our survival in this window when we know we are close to being relegated. As others have posted we have little in reserve if we have suspensions or injuries to key players and could be sucked back into the bottom three.
Huddersfield, Fulham Cardiff, Brighton Newcastle have all added to their squads but Burnley-effectively nothing.
That is a massive gamble

Dyches dinosaur style to blsim on one thread, and we've also had Burnley's location in England earlier in January as to why players don't/won't sign.ClaretTony wrote:Garlick to blame now - was Rigg earlier in the day.

Re: Rabbit out of the hat!!!
We definitely were trying to get Januzaj on loan/view to permanent very early on in the window.RMutt wrote:Why were all the Januzaj threads pulled? I actually thought threre might be a Tony article and that was why he was removing them!
Re: Rabbit out of the hat!!!
I am sick and tired of our little old Burnley mantra can't pay this can't afford that bargain basement mentality.

Aside from Newcastle, who have the rest signed that are potential game changers?mdd2 wrote:Huddersfield, Fulham Cardiff, Brighton Newcastle have all added to their squads but Burnley-effectively nothing.

Someone I rarely get to speak to who has been spot on multiple times over the years told me, which you can believe or not!fidelcastro wrote:How do you know?
Maybe I shouldn’t have said definitely, more, I was told by someone I trust. The fact it then started cropping up on here (not from me) means someone else must have been told the same. As I say, trust or not but I don’t post rumours etc.

Re: Rabbit out of the hat!!!
Yeah, it was also hearsay when he told me about the 10-15 or so players he has been spot on about. Dunno why I’m defending myself, I’m not some sort of narcissist who enjoys knowing about transfers, as most of the time I don’t!fidelcastro wrote:Hearsay, then?

Re: Rabbit out of the hat!!!
Now that we have confirmed that no more business is going to happen - this is what I heard from a good source.
For the past 18 months, every transfer window we have taken an interest in Marc Pugh, but never tabled a serious offer.
He has been planning to move back up north and Burnley have enquired about him in every window... apart from this one.
Bournemouth were interested in Jarrod Bowen and Pugh was available for transfer. Burnley were no where to be seen.
Pugh went to Hull, which indicated to my source that we had someone else in the frame... so something didn’t happen somewhere.
