Vydra and Lowton

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Sat Feb 02, 2019 8:45 am

Would anyone be tempted to throw these two in today?

I think with the pace and energy Southampton have down the flanks and even through the middle with Ings and Ward Prowse (who is in top form) could be a real problem. With Lowtons extra speed and eneegy I woule be tempted to start him today.

Vydra as a bit of a wildcard. Dyche introduced him last week. And although he didnt score he did create a great chance for himself. Barnes and Wood have been immense. But Saints will have planned all week for facing these two. With Vokes now gone there is even more onus on us getting max value from a player who knows where the net is.

Lowton = a broken toe. That might be cruel on him.
I am more concerned about Westwood.

Is Lowton out? I thought he was back in contention.

Oh well. Bardsley has not let us down since coming back in.

Nope. Starting with Wood and Barnes upfront is the easiest decision for SD to make.
