Watching the highlights it's clear how much mayhem Crouch is going to cause for us, even if it hits him on the shoulder etc. You could see how the Southampton defenders were starting to panic everytime we crossed it into the box.

I agree. I have to say though that yes I think it was a penalty, but he does appear to perhaps push himself forward more than needed. I think this is because he knew the referee was never going to award it even if his leg was broken. But on replay it does look like he pushes himself more forward than necessary.

Still, regardless, a penalty.
