Surely VAR is the "way forward" given the recent bum decisions we have suffered?

Or employ Scottish refes, one gave 4 penalties to Rangers in the same game.

Bring it on. VAR will level the playing field massively for us.

Slattery continued fouling throughout the first half after his lunge on Charlie Taylor and never received a card. Absolute incompetence from the referee.

A draw the fair result in the end.

I agree but there was nothing fair in the first half when their keeper fouled Barnes in their penalty area. As for Provan's take on the incident I can imagine him in his playing days with Celtic seeing a similar situation and just saying to the referee ' nothing in that, let's just get on with it'.

I know it was his first start, but it was incredible what he got away with. Taylor's performance went downhill from the moment he didn't card him for the foul on Charlie Taylor.

I really don't get Provan at all. He had the opportunity to see it several times and came up with those comments. Even Dermot Gallagher was baffled this morning as to why it wasn't a penalty.

Spare a thought for Sam Vokes. I genuinely hope he does as well for his new club as he did for us. Sadly, he failed to convert a penalty on his debut for Stoke.

Barnes - no-one epitomises the Burnley fighting spirit more than Ashley; probably my personal favourite claret at this time.

Ashley Barnes. What a guy. My MOM (just edging Taylor). All the furore of the 'none' penalty and then Southampton complaining about the one that was given and he kept his head - thos time - and despatched a beauty into the net. The team did well, particularly considering and having to bear the clown who was the referee, who was truly dreadful.
