For POD's sake.....

Post by ŽižkovClaret » Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:38 am

Football Weekly, totally football show and the football ramble all pulled Barnes' up on his reaction to the denied penalty, but completely failed to even mention the ridiculous decision to disallow the pen

F**k em

I think his reaction was a bookable offence, he was swearing and screaming in the face of officials - wrong decision or not. I think the ref gave him the benefit of the doubt and was on thin ice for the rest of the game.

Although it was a bad call by the ref, his reaction was totally over the top. You cannot square up to the linesman and start making all those gestures/obscene comments. He came across as a spoilt kid. He was a very lucky not to get his marching orders.

Can’t recall who it was (think it was on BT) but the ex-ref said that as Barnes outburst was directly after the event then that is why he wasn’t booked for it

Edit. It was Peter Walton https://twitter.com/btsportscore/status ... 48576?s=21" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I know - It’s like he never gets penalties.

That's what I like about Burnley Fans in General... An honesty about the game. Were all agree the ref was Awful but none the less even so.....are big enough to accept our Ashley was a naughty boy.you wouldn't have got that view from the supposed "Big Boys" I like that!
