Tyrone Mings
Avoids any punishment for the incident on Saturday which left a Reading player with a broken nose in four places as well as needing stitches to five cuts on his face.
Watching the incident it does seem like it could be an accident.
Second time he’s claimed to land accidentally on someone’s head though. Is he just unlucky?

No --I would say it was the players whose heads he landed on were the unlucky ones!Bordeauxclaret wrote:Avoids any punishment for the incident on Saturday which left a Reading player with a broken nose in four places as well as needing stitches to five cuts on his face.

Horrible git.
Has previous, stamped on Ibrahimovic a year or two back.
Knew exactly what he was doing IMO.

Some unfortunate luck to accidentally do it twice though you’d think.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote:No --I would say it was the players whose heads he landed on were the unlucky ones!

Five match ban last time wasn't it? This time he gets away with it.Bordeauxclaret wrote:Second time he’s claimed to land accidentally on someone’s head though. Is he just unlucky?

It's grasps of statistics like this that got Lucia de Berk jailed for life.

The one with Ibrahimovich they’d been at each other all game, not sure what was going on this time. If anything.

I know, however, they will have reviewed video evidence of this to come to a decision so, in effect, they have used it retrospectively!Bordeauxclaret wrote:They don’t have it in The Championship.

Re: Tyrone Mings
Even if you had a review panel of 20 people and all 20 said yes definite stamp they couldn't do anything in terms of punishment as the referee saw the incident at the time and decided it was accidental.

If cctv cameras caught that footage outside a nightclub the aggressor would be in the cells for the night minimum....cowardly thing to do and think retribution will be forthcoming seeing as the authorities have bottled it.

Re: Tyrone Mings
We'll never know for certain, but the internet is the place for unfounded speculation, so I'll say I reckon he definitely meant it. Pretty disgusting thing to do to anyone. The poor guy's face looked not dissimilar to that Everton fan's at Millwall.
But yeah, the ref saw it and it's not in the Prem anyway so forget it.

Re: Tyrone Mings
I have only seen it once and. To me it looked like a complete accident. The one on Ibra previously however looked clearly like a stamp.

Whether he meant it or not I don’t know, but it is perfectly possible for someone to do a nice thing and still be a horrible person. In the same way a nice person could do a horrible thing.nyclaret wrote:'Horrible git'. Why don't you take a minute to read more about him?

Re: Tyrone Mings
I highly doubt he is a 'horrible person'. From what I've read about him in the press he is the complete opposite. I just find it funny how football fans are so quick to label a footballer's character when they have no idea what they're actually like.Rileybobs wrote:Whether he meant it or not I don’t know, but it is perfectly possible for someone to do a nice thing and still be a horrible person. He's facing no retrospective action and immediately checks to see if Oliveira is ok after the incidentRileybobs wrote:If he stamped on that player’s head deliberately then he is a horrible person.

Re: Tyrone Mings
Unbelievable...... He clearly looks down and knows exactly where his studs are going. The f'king incompetence of the officials running football astound me.

Re: Tyrone Mings
I’m not disputing whether or not he did it on purpose. Only he will know. I’m saying that if he did do it on purpose, for the second time, then the likelihood is that he’s a horrible person, despite him feeding the homeless on Christmas Day.nyclaret wrote:He's facing no retrospective action and immediately checks to see if Oliveira is ok after the incident

Re: Tyrone Mings
His foot seemed to be in an unnatural position for someone running....that clip isnt the best but it sure looked to me that he went to stand on his face.....would like to see the passage of play for longer than the clip though.

I'm more confused why a footballer is wearing something similar to golf shoes after seeing the results of the incident

I dont think so, but if memory serves, Sir Alex banned them at Utd because of the potential to cause serious knee injuries. if they do that to someones face, they should be banned.Burnley Ace wrote:Blades seemed to result in really bad cuts have they been banned?

Professionals usually have a mix of metal and plastic studs though so would do some damage.Burnley Ace wrote:Blades seemed to result in really bad cuts have they been banned?
