I think on the balance of it, most refs would have given it.taio wrote:absolutely stone wall penalty for them.
Their goal was offside though, I thought. Shoulder is in front of everyone as ball is kicked.

You can't beat a slow motion clip of an Ashley Barnes goal celebration!

Yes we were lucky with the Hendrick decision but I’m pleased because hopefully we get a few more of those as I can’t recall another decision that’s gone our way prior to this all season

Holy ****, you're not wrong. Does that mean we're almost safe, or that Everton are almost in danger?

The way they're shaping up lately, it's definitely Everton in danger!

Brilliant defending and front 2. Today was payback for the last 3 games at least.
This is despite cm being unable to pass properly for most of the game.
We need to sign Mooy and Cairney in May. Please.

Enormous 3 points. Genuinely did not see us winning today, as per my prediction, but that is as big a win as you’ll see this season.
Another team dragged into the scrap is an added bonus.

Yeah, felt Cork squandered that chance several times throughout the game. If we’re playing 4-4-2 we need 2 quality box to box centre mids. Westwood has been instrumental since the Everton game, but Cork still showing big limitations.summitclaret wrote:Brilliant defending and front 2. Today was payback for the last 3 games at least.

If Dyche still wants to move away from 4-4-2, Cairney would be a great place to start.

Re: Sussex by the sea versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Great win. Got lucky but overall did enough to deserve the win for me. Can't believe Barnes did not pass to McNeil or Wood when clean through, or that wood managed to miss an open goal, or that we got a second pen in two weeks. Good job Barnes scored! Barnes missed an open goal in the first half too so although Brighton had their chances and Heaton saved us a number of times overall we were better than them. We do need to get better at retaining the ball though, we create an awful lot of pressure on ourselves.

Westwood have been had been brilliant since Christmas but today was
panicking as was Corky. Wood and Barnes surberb.

Wasn't really able to follow the game today but that's a great win. I keep having to pinch myself at the remarkable turnaround since Heaton came back in. Very impressive.
