“Two goals to the good away from home. It’s been a while...” although we did manage it a couple of weeks ago at Old Trafford.

Corrected almost immediately as I read through it, I'd missed a few important words out.

"Two goals to the good away from home. It’s been a while since we did that and went on to win, and not too long after that we made it three."

Amongst the stats: 2 penalties in 2 consecutive matches, 7 unbeaten in the Premier League, and you forgot to mention it's the first time that we've ever won a Premier League game in February under Sean Dyche.

I'd heard the one about not winning in Feb in the Premier League but hadn't realised it was just under Dyche. Just checked and the West Ham win in 2010 was on 6th Feb so Laws had one up on Dyche there. :D

Talking about unbeaten runs in the top flight, when was it that we won eight on the trot including Leeds 5-1.

Does it not count because it was our reserve team?

1968-69, but it included a couple of League Cup games.

Was only six in the league with League Cup games against Leicester and Palace.

I live down in Sussex and was at Saturday's game. Got the local newspaper this afternoon, The Argus - similar to the Telegraph I suppose to read the reports. Obviously quite a lot written but very little comment on how well we played, defended, took our chances and were organised. It seems it was all about the penalties, (yes all of them that the crowd seemed to shout for !!??), and how we did "our stuff" but they were robbed of points. Also a lot written about their being drawn into the relegation situation, they seem to be panicking a little.
I haven't read the Telegraph match reports for ages - are they as one sided?

The Argus stuff will be written by Andy Naylor. He spent all last week, given they were playing West Brom and us, going on about the Gaëtan Bong situation. He was even threatening anyone who called Bong a liar with legal action.

As for our paper. I never see the reports as they don’t seem to appear online. Even if they did, you’d soon give up trying to get onto the Burnley Express website.

The report did mention booing of Bong. I did not heat it myself during the match, (was sat with friends who are in the Brighton section), but maybe heard some on the tv replays. Not much though. I think it is about time that we all moved on from that situation.

There was booing, but nothing more, and it was only from a small number of people.
