Wolves V Newcastle

Post by Longside4evr » Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:20 pm

I think Newcastle will get a result tonight 0-2
Wolves pair Diogo Jota and Ruben Vinagre have recovered from the problems that caused them to miss the FA Cup replay win over Shrewsbury.

Jota has been nursing a minor injury, while Vinagre was laid low by a virus.

New signing Miguel Almiron is among six additional players available to Newcastle since their defeat at Spurs.

Paul Dummett, Mohamed Diame, Ki Sung-yueng and Karl Darlow are back from injury, while Yoshinori Muto has returned from the Asian Cup.

Wolves have lost all four of their Premier League games played on a Monday. Their most recent top-flight victory on that day came against Leicester in May 1984.

Wolves to win as Vinagre fires it into the back of the net.

Newcastle will be defeated on the Vinagre Stroke

We are -18. Newcastle are -12.

A heavy defeat for them, please. Although any win for Wolves will suffice.

Anybody fancying a 2-0 away win can get 28/1 with my bookie.
I'm going 2-0 to the old golds, a mere 7/1. Newcastle will need to be at their very best to get anything from this game I think, Wolves averaging c 2 goals per home league game latterly. Reverse fixture was 2-1 to Wolves.
After this game Newcastle have 2 home games, one against Hudd and then one against one of the top in form teams.

Fair play to Scott for getting that right.
Looked a stonewall pen but Atsu plays the ball first.

Good job we're picking up points as hardly any other games have gone our way recently. Not surprised by the scoreline.

People mock Dyche's "fine margins" but it really is. You may get one Villa or Huddersfield every season who simply can't get up to speed but everyone else will fight to the bitter end.

Once Newcastle take the lead Rafa is very good at parking the bus. If he had Man City's squad he'd have the likes of Aguero helping out the defenders.

Wolves in missing chances shocker!

Honestly if they’d beaten us 5/6-0 I couldn’t have had any complaints. They create so so much, but the finishing lets them down.

Chris Wood would be on 15+ in this side.

Given the start of the season and our awful start to the season I can't see a scenario our GD saves us, points needed.

Based on what evidence?

The team in 18th last season had 24 pts, the same as this. Swansea got relegated on 33 pts.
