Oh the memories come flooding back !! - 1974 the year we lost to Newcastle in the semi-final ( SuperMac did us twice). We beat Grimsby, Oldham, Villa & Wrexham on the way to that semi-final at Hillsborough. Never been as frightened in my life (14 years old) we were packed like sardines in that infamous Leppings Lane end - sadly a prelude to the tradegy that unfolded some 15 years later.Incidentally the bus back to the station was bricked by the Geordies - a disappointing end to a day in my life I will never forget.
