Is this all a big hoax? It seemed she was on a wind up before, it’s all getting a bit unbelievable now.
Re: O/T I want to come home
Sad for baby if true. Not an environment to bring up a child, raise it or get pregnant in or have underage sex in. May be a harsh lesson for others tempted into similar conflicts in the future.

Difficult to know what to make of it it’s the 3rd, RIP for the baby.
Re: O/T I want to come home
And now it's Javid's fault. The couple are blameless for procreating in a situation where it seems childhood mortality is as bad as in the UK at the turn of the 20th century. Even if mum had kept her UK citizenship in all probability she would still be in the Camp as she needed to get access to UK Consulate to get the necessary documents to get home as she has no UK passport.
BUT sad for her son who was blameless in this torrid affair

Diane Abbot is a disgrace. Using a baby’s death for political leverage. The baby died because of the mother’s recklessness and willingness to join a barbaric group that liked to behead people.

Re: O/T I want to come home
It's amazing the the people who just love to talk about how oppressed women are in Islamic countries now seem to be criticising a woman in an Islamic caliphate for choosing to have a 3rd child, as if she had any choice in either conceiving it or carrying it. It's almost as if they don't really give a **** about women's rights and just use it as a weapon to smack Muslims with.

Abortion is a 100% ineffective way of preventing the death of a child. And I don't think devout Muslims go for contraception, either.Rileybobs wrote:Well you said that if you’d already had 2 kids die you wouldn’t have a third. Abortion is allowed in some schools of thought as a form of contraception up to 40 days. In others abortion is permissible up to 120 days for victims of sexual violence. Contraception by all other methods is allowed.dsr wrote:Abortion is a 100% ineffective way of preventing the death of a child. And I don't think devout Muslims go for contraception, either.

So she had a choice.
Stay in a modern society or leave to go to a Third World War torn country with little or no medical support.
She had two children that died, she had a third, it died. Unfortunately that happens in third world countries.
Her choice, no sympathy from me.

Contraception is not forbidden in most Islamic writings including the Qur'an (having just Googled)

Gonna have to do better than that i'm afraid. Some other posters have been way more hardline than this. Your opinion is so much not hardline that it's basically the consensus opinion.

You're talking to people who aren't interested in the Koran beyond what is literally says and how they can use a literal interpretation to bash the religion, not knowing that the likes of ISIS are the only other kind of people who take a literal interpretation. It's like they're kindred spirits, the Muslim-haters and ISIS. Like Montagues and Capulets. They hate each other because they're so alike.

Re: O/T I want to come home
You seriously believe that there is no scientist in the world that believes a human foetus is a human being? I know that you worship the Great God Science and believe that it can never be wrong, but I didn't realise that you defined Science as being "whatever agrees with Turtle".Imploding Turtle wrote:In your religiously informed, 0% scientifically-supported opinion.
I dare say there are scientists who believe an unborn baby isn't human; I dare say there are those who believe it isn't alive. But basically, most abortionists - all of whom you presumably disagree with - believe that abortion (aka termination) ends the life of a human being that does not have the right to life.
Anyway, the point was that she has been pregnant three times and got no live babies. If she had aborted one of them, that position would not be different. And if she was one of these apparently irrational women who show off bumps, ultrasound photos, and call the object in their womb a "baby", then she would still be sad when it dies - even if it was done on purpose.

Ignoring your foul mouth accompanied your arrogant little attitude that rules don't apply to you, you said that there is 0% scientific support for the idea that abortion does not prevent the death of a child.Imploding Turtle wrote:Why do you do this? This can only mean that you believe that the aborted foetus isn't a child. So if there is 0% scientific support for what I said, then there is 0% scientific support for the idea that abortion kills a child.

Journalists have some sort of protection
I wouldn't think that many people would hold the same rights for a ISIS member to be perfectly honest.
I'm very surprised that more of the ones who've surrendered having been shot out of hand.

What if she doesn't rot?
What if she ends up as some kind of role model as an Isis sympathiser? (unlikely though that might be ),
and do we apply this to other assumed UK criminals in countries where their extradition would be seen as too difficult?
