Charlie Austin. Will he become a barsteward? Surely not

Post by Stayingup » Thu Feb 14, 2019 5:38 pm

Just heard from a source close to Rovers that they are going to sign Charlie Austin. Can it be true? Surely not.

Owners will need to do something in case the fans start their 98th Venkies out campaign after 3 straight defeats.

Cost them an arm and a leg.

There will be bigger paying clubs interested.

Currently on around £70k a week. Rovers lose a million a month already.

Which (considering he's only got one of each anyway) is a bit pricey!

They're allowed £13m per year average anyway, and things like academy costs don't count. They need to be losing between £15m-£20m year on year to fall foul of the rules.
