27 x 1 1/4 presta cycle inner tube query

Post by Pstotto » Mon Feb 18, 2019 4:03 pm

I've ordered some continental hardshell tyres for my bike from Halfords and an inner tube, but I'm a bit worried about whether they're putting the right inner tube in.

It says on the order it's Continental 700 x 28 37 PR42 Product no. 805705. Are there any cyclists out there who might be able to confirm it's the right one?

I ordered it in the shop but I've been online to try and double check it and I can't get any satisfaction from the websites.

It's a road racer.

The 28-37 is what kind of tire it should be used in, so between 28 & 37mm thickness

I have 700c 28mm tires so I use the same brand of tube but the 25-32 version.
I think that right at least...

If it's a road race those tubes might be a bit big. Post the tires and can tell you.

I think I preferred it when you posted gibberish. At least it was entertaining.

Of course... Never on Spice, no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No way on anything Spice if possible. I'm getting the tires fitted this week. It has about 4 different tire sizes on the packet (27 x 1 1/4 in grey for some reason).

The only time I've come a cropper is attempting to go from road to pavement at an angle in the wet at night, not up a curb, but it's really dangerous. I went to the motorcycle show in London this week and I've decided not to bother so far. One oil spill, one bit of sand , one wet grate and...

My bike is 30 years old at least, so it won't be tubeless ready. Might be of use to others...
