Any update on Lennon?

Depressing news about Defour. I'd imagine we'll be looking to get rid of him in the summer

Steven Defour. The man, the myth, the legend.

But mostly myth.

The best we could have expected. Starting 11 won't change but it will be good to have options again.

I've all ready written off Defour and Lennon a long while ago, delighted the other lads are back though

Just read an article on the Burnley website saying he requires another scan on his calf to try and identify what is causing the problem. Sounds like he's not even training with the squad yet

"But midfielder Steven Defour is not ready to return and is due to undergo a further scan and see another specialist in a bid to get to the bottom of an on-going calf problem"

Madness we too the option to extend his contract, with a pay increase no doubt.

Is it a calf problem or maybe something else wrong with his psyche
Sorry, but whilst there have been some rare moments of potential class, I can't help but feel the club have never got anywhere near their money's worth out of this guy
And still another season to go
Would much prefer Cork and Westwood in the starting eleven as I know they will always at least give 100%

I actually forget Defour is one of our players and tbh that's probably happening to Sean too.

One of those with Defour I presume we are just hoping we can get to the bottom of the problem so we can have a player back... but the longer this goes on the more it smacks of him being happy drawing a wage. Hopefully, we'll see the real Defour before he's next looking for new terms off us or the next believers.

Maybe Defour is a good footballer but as he approaches 31 maybe his legs are just f**ked; calf injury, knee surgery, lost his father a few months back etc.
Gone from Idol to Sick Note in a season and a bit.
That said his future is not at this club, get him fit, get a fee and thank him for some great moments.

SD said in his Clarets Player interview that Defour is close to being fit BUT he keeps feeling something in his calf when he goes for that final level of fitness so they are sending him to more specialists for more scans to try and get to the bottom of things.

Lennon and Walters are both a long way off but everyone else is in the frame for a start. Be interesting to see what the pecking order is now.
