Good to read, I’d dearly love to see him play for Burnley again.
Along with Blake my favourite ever Claret!

Great read and he'd love to play for us again. Not surprised his emotions when we finally beat bstards was evident.

Nice one .... but hey come on Tottingham Hotspuds Loris is having a mare at the moment.
Tripps would be welcome here anytime by 99% of Clarets

He's had a really poor season. At fault for the goals in their defeats to City and United as well as last night. Hopefully a decent rest this summer will sort him out, can't be easy going from a World Cup pretty much straight into pre season.

His composure on the Ball and the way he stroked it past Loris was quality...what a humble chap also in not celebrating what proved to be the winner!!

Re: Trippier on the Clarets and Dyche
I was randomly chatting to a couple of die hard Spurs fans on Saturday after the game about him and they said the general consensus there is he's not good enough for them and their top 4/title aspirations. They acknowledged he's an extremely good player, but in their opinion Spurs are looking for better (not just in his position tbf) in order to really challenge at the very top. And that was BEFORE last night. I on the other hand would take him back at the Turf tomorrow!

So, outstanding for England in the World Cup but not good enough for Spurs.Dark Cloud wrote:I was randomly chatting to a couple of die hard Spurs fans on Saturday after the game about him and they said the general consensus there is he's not good enough for them and their top 4/title aspirations. That's not necessarily contradictory.boatshed bill wrote:So, outstanding for England in the World Cup but not good enough for Spurs.
Quite a lot of that England squad couldn't get into a top 4 PL side or World XI.

Re: Trippier on the Clarets and Dyche
Nil desperandum basically sums it up. Spurs (fans and management) genuinely believe they can break into the major mega time and be regular top 4 finishers, get to the sharp end of the Champions league and challenge for the title in the next few seasons. Rightly or wrongly they seem to feel that someone like Tripps isn't in that bracket. They also were saying that he'd "dipped" as their star has risen and having been someone the crowd loved and many felt should play more often, the general feeling now is his England exploits have gone to his head somewhat and his feet aren't necessarily on the ground.boatshed bill wrote:So, outstanding for England in the World Cup but not good enough for Spurs.

Re: Trippier on the Clarets and Dyche
That haircut doesn't help.
Re: Trippier on the Clarets and Dyche
When Arsenal get their act together, they will outgun (pun) Tottingham. The big clubs, worldwide, will come for Erikssen, Son, Kane, Ali.
Top four Liverpool, 2 Mancs, Arsenal. Chelsea also adrift.
It will end in tears.

Re: Trippier on the Clarets and Dyche
He was playing wing back for England in the WC so less emphasis on his defending. At the very top level I don't think he's good enough defensively to play as an out and out right back.

Re: Trippier on the Clarets and Dyche
One of my all time favourite Clarets. Would love to see him back playing for us. He gets absolute pelters from Spurs fans on social media. With right back an area we should be looking to strengthen given the decline of Lowton and with Bardsley (whilst doing a fine job at the minute) not getting any younger I'd happily break our transfer record to bring him back - even a season long loan would do!
Dare to dream and all that!

He’s right.
Trips should have crossed the free kick sooner then Kane’s wouldn’t have been offside
