Coventry

I see Coventry have until March 5th to tell the eFL where they will play next season or face expulsion.
Easy solution......tell them Somewhere in London and change their name to Coventry Hotspur....simple!

Must be getting cynical

I'm sure it will Bosscat and will put pressure on interested parties to let common sense prevail however it seems a two tier system also prevails with the powers that be.

Ground sharing with Northampton again would appear to be the way out if
this impasse continues.

Or can't they do that again?

I remember the days when we all thought the move from Highfield Road was seen as propelling Coventry into the future. It seems a long time ago now.

It did propel them into the future, but not how they saw it.

Indeed, those smiles must be a very distant memory for Fletch, didn't Alan Stevenson have a spell there too or am I misremembering?

Paul McGhee scored at Highfield Road, don't you know. Was it '81 or '82?

It was the League Cup run in 82/83, McGee scored both goals in a 2-1 win. Superb performance from us that night. I think that was the night we kept getting told over the tannoy to sit down because it was an all seater stadium.

Remember going to Highfield Road in about 1974/1975 and we won there 0-3.
- pretty sure Taffy scored two of them.

We were stopping at Warwick Uni. for three days and watched us on MOTD in the students union on Saturday night.
Top weekend that.

Been to the Ricoh for two big concerts, not much wrong with that place except that Coventry FC do not own it.

You can't play football with an office block for a stand!

I've never been to either ground, but the problem was they didn't own the new one. A dangerous place to be.

It was such a good move, to use some of the promotion money to buy back the Turf.
