I've got a sudden urge to go to Uzbekistan, don't know why.... :D

I did a trip a few years back called the Golden Road to Samarkand. Great place to visit.

Ditto. Was looking at going this year before mrs ended up pregnant.

The silk roads definitely on the list and some of the buildings look incredible. Saw a really good youtube documentary about Uzbekistan.

I had an Uncle Stan.... he built my 1st go-cart, pram wheels and some wooden planks..... steered by some rope.
