TODAYS FITNESS

Post by warksclaret » Sat Feb 23, 2019 6:30 pm

For parts of this season I did not think we looked as fit as last year-but the running, pressing, tracking back and helping each other was immense. It meant we could stand up to a team that had what seemed about 5 strikers on the pitch at the end

Lot was made of Barnes & Wood on SKY-quite rightly, but the back 5 were superb. Up with some of last seasons best performances. Praise must go to SD and his back room staff

Dyche consistently mentions the stats since the Everton game, every stat is way up on what it was previous to that - that was the penny drop moment for the players and they have responded

First thing we expect from a Dyche team is fitness and that was there in abundance today. A 'man of the match', for me, was so difficult to choose today because so much unseen running and covering was done by so many players.

Akin to the Hull game in 15/16. Same date as well.

Or possible the penny that dropped was the possibility of a 50% pay cut if we’re relegated.

Did it occur to you my post was written with a large dose of humour? The smiley thing at the end should have been a clue!

And yes, it was a great win today.
